Are you genuinely hyped for NX or just "wait and see"?

I'm hyped, just because we need something different. I want to see them do well. They have iconic franchises and are great at making fun games. You know, actual games. Not cinematic experiences lol. What about you, SW? How would you describe your hype level?

PS In before the "we don't know what it is" train. Surely, you can speculate, right?

Wait and see. If its a wii like console that hampers game design to an ethos of unecessary control mechanics, I am off the wagon. If it is a powerful console that happens to also have a novelty factor, I can get behind that.

Hyped because cartridges and nintendo games made with at least Xbone specs should look amazing

I love a lot of Nintendo games, but I can safely say this past gen I wouldn't have missed a single great game made by Nintendo if I didn't purchase the WiiU or 3DS. The only great games I would have missed were the two Platinum games the WiiU got.

I want new things from that company (Splatoon is cool though), and they don't do enough new things.

Getting it regardless, even if I hate myself (and them) for it, because I need my Nintendo fix. Hoping it turns out to be an actual good console with some ambitious and great games, though.

Nintendo knows it's do or die so I cannot help but be hyped and excited for what they have planned.

Hyped. I've enjoyed the Wii and Wii U, they've housed some of Nintendo best games ever, and that's what it's all about.

Because of the U.S. presidential campaign season, I am currently taking a wait and see approach. After the presidential election is over, this may change to hype.

I really like to know what the NX is really is and continue to ignore the rumors and speculations about it.

Wii U has some of the best exclusive of the gen, and never once was I worried about what specs were under the hood because the games played great and smoothly. Wii U was day 1 and NX will be too. Super stoked for the next Zelda game and there will be more to follow.

@charizard1605: I can understand your post, it's how I am with Halo. For better or worse, and it's been better, I need my fix. Books, comics only hold me over so much.

As for NX, I'm a wait and see. I've owned three Nintendo systems in my life: Wii, WiiU and 3DS. I enjoyed what I played on the consoles but aside from Zelda, Metroid prime, bayonetta games I don't see much I want invest hours alone in.

I'm definitely in the wait and see group. Wii was boring. Wii-U was a failure. NX is Nintendo's last chance for me.

I can't be hype over nothing. Nintendo is doing the ultra secretive BS and its usually boils down to something unimpressive and gimmicky. I anticipate another crappy controller from Nintendo because a regular controller is asking too much.

Im still waiting to pre-order. Ive never been let down, so i have faith.

At this point the only thing that would keep me away would be a streaming platform with no physical drive.

We still know literally nothing confirmed. Nobody should be hyped.

A bit of both. Excited to see what they bring to the table (looking forward to the new Zelda on NX), but apprehensive cos of their last two systems.

Time will tell but im not that optimistic about it. In fact i know nothing about it to be hyped .

To be precise , you know what im afraid might happen ? That NX will start as strong as ever make everyone say its the best , everyone will go crazy and go buy it , then sustain a year or 2 with great titles then ...go into life support with mid to low 1st party support and even worse 3rd party .

Im not into such consoles ,i prefer either rent them and play those 3-4 games i really like out of a whole generation or bypass them all together. I refuse to give my money out of hype or marketing tricks to a company that wont try to please me for as long as it should. Its the main problem i got with Nintendo since GC era even if GC was , maybe the most complete "3D" console Nintendo ever made

Well it's the only console left that could get us excited. You're not going to jump a hole in the air for a slightly more powerful PS4 or XB1, right?

I love Nintendo games, and I'm going to invest a lot of money into PC. So a bit of both for me.

Wait and see. I want to play the new Zelda but I need more than 1 game to convince me to buy a console. If its another gimmicky mess like the Wii or WiiU then I'll just keep playing 2DS for my Nintendo fix.

Not hyped but "wait and buy". I mean, I love Nintendo games and it's not like I can play them elsewhere.

Im only hyped for consoles that receive more than 1-2 good games per 12 months.

Yeah, I am finally pumped for a new Nintendo that is for sure. Seems like all the rage is for the NX and Scorpio, so I will be in line with the rest of them.

I would have preordered the thing if a store would shut up and take my money.

Thats the marketing trap Nintendo is creating though . They trying to have an epic release day to gain momentum with games. Hell , they even delaying Zelda for another year just for that while letting Wii U owners waiting for the game. for give NX momentum.

Few will wait and see in the end , at least the ones that are Nintendo fans , thats what i think. If NX ends up though another in life support console after 2-3 years , is another story which noone will think about when they have in front of them a new NINTENDO console with ZELDA , MARIO on release.

Could care less, more interested in the abundant amount of games already announced this year and 2017

I'd say i'm cautiously optimistic.

We know it's gonna have at least one amazing game at launch, so it's already doing better than Wii U.

Not hyped at all. More hyped to see what Neo will be and AMD's Vega gpu.

Nintendo needs to do a lot of changing and I dont think that will happen.

I dont pay attention to Nintendo. They lost me as a customer more than a decade ago.

Wait and see. I wanna a good list of launch games and be sure the controller or way you play isn't a gimmick. Then I'm all in cuz i love nintendo.

I have seen nothing about the NX, so can't really be hyped for it.

I don't like the trend that Nintendo has been following since the N64. They would have to show me they are trying to go in a totally new direction. It's crazy we still have no idea what it is. I expect the trend to continue.

Really all they would have to do is make a really good Metroid game for it and I would buy it. I would have no problem buying it for just one game if that game was of the quality of Super Metroid. Nintendo expresses no interest at this time in doing that unfortunately.

Not hyped in the slightest, but at the same time it's not much of a wait and see situation either.

It's Nintendo. I've enjoyed every single one of their consoles. I know I'll get this one.

The only wait and see will be waiting for a killer game to come out for it. I'm not doing the early adopter shit with any consoles anymore... that is, unless BotW runs at 60 frames on the NX because I'm a sucker for performance.
