[QUOTE="DragonfireXZ95"]LOL @ the poll. I'm glad barely anyone is skipping school to play such an atrocious game.turtlethetaffer

Ah, blind hater. You seen the game? Probably not.

How do you know it's gonna be awesome? Seen the game? No? Then what makes you right?

I know IW is a very talented studio, and after creating one of the most revolutionary games in the past decade (COD4), I doubt their newest military pearl will be "atrocious".

[QUOTE="BrunoBRS"]MW3 is a Rated M game. if you're still in "school", then you're 17 AT MOST. people always complain that CoD's online is full of racist kids. hmm... i wonder...BrunoBRS

In Sweden, we study to the age of 18 - 19 (depends on when you're born). Sorry!

i'm picking the american standard, including for ratings. and i'm not counting college as school either. ... I WAS JUST MAKING A JOKE AND NOW YOU MADE ME GO ON EXPLANATION MODE D:

Nope, actually if it weren't for the only class I take on tuesdays, I wouldn't even leave the apartment that day.

In the year of 2009, the majority of people decided not to take a day off from school to play Modern Warfare 2.

IW IS DEAD. THEY ARE NOW RESPAWN ENTERTAINMENT.

The remnants of IW needed major help from Sledgehammer Games to complete MW3.

Everything you know and loved about the original COD 4 developer is long gone.

Anyhow, we have the new Spec Ops video, which is very imposing.

Right, me agreeing with many people here makes me unique. It's not revolutionary. It took many ideas from Battlefeild, added some more stuff, sold a buttload of units, and made a genre poopular. Can't deny it.

Spec ops in MW was gash.It was terribad with 1 or 2 decent missions.Zombies as a co-op mode as a whole feels much more cohesive partially due to the cast and the actual mechanics.Regardless spec ops wont ever come close to being as good as the Zombies mode, its simple fun and addictive.

It's been told to you before... BF2, a game released a year prior to CoD 4, had customizable classes similar to CoD4's. Hey I'm not denying that CoD4 is a great game (I really enjoyed the campaign and MP to a certain extent) just that it's not as revolutionary as you say it is.

Infinity Ward is barely a studio anymore. Activision ****ed them up to the point that they had to have Sledgehammer come in and help the put the pieces back together. Everyone at IW that had that talent that made Call of Duty 4 what it was is long gone.

Missing a day of public school is harmless. I never missed SCHOOL when I was a kid for a video game, but I did call into my after school job when I was in high school the day San Andreas came out... and I have fond memories of it.

These people who skip a day for a game aren't only going to skip one day. Harmless or not, missing school or work for a video game is not something I would tell people.

I'd skip school on November the20th along with Charizard and Bigboi. Sadly, that is a Sunday so instead, I'll be skipping on the 21st just like madsnake will be skipping work. :D

-----

I'll be sure to pick up my copy of Modern Warfare 3 during my hour break from school on the 8th. I'd have to hate learning about programming to outright skip school.

Skipping work, school or having a social life for a videogame is stupid.The_Pacific

Who told you that you have to sacrifice your social life to play a video game? :?

I hope you're not actually serious. Skipping out on education, which will help you much more in life and getting a career, to play a game that simply won't do any of these things? It's time you've gotten your priorities straight. :P

Yup, I'll be skipping, just as I did last year. It's not like I'll be missing anything regardless, school is boring. I skip classes regularly, because I learn just fine by reading from the material itself.

A day off from school here and there is pretty harmless. You gotta enjoy those moments in life, and hey.. if you're REALLY excited about MW3, why the hell not? I'm taking work off, but no "skipping" is required. :)

Oh... to be a teenager again. No responsibilities. No bills to pay. No commitments to anyone but myself. I find it funny that some people would be so excited to play another version of the same game they have played once a year for the past few years, that they would skip school just because they can't wait a few extra hours until they get home.

I would never skip school for any game.
