getting it for PS3.

I wonder how they are going to implement all of the controls that go with BF2 on the keyboard. Led_poisonhave you played bc2? they did a pretty good job...
Its pretty selfish to be sad that more people can enjoy a game than just you. GTA DLC going multiplatform made lems go crazy even though they also got to experience it... FIRST. Honestly, PC gamers being sad for a game series they love being able to be played by more people is just stupid.
honestly who would expect it to stay exclusive in this day and age? very few games stay exclusive, and the ones that do almost always have contracts keeping them exclusive
hermits are more upset about the game now being catered to console owners. Its pretty selfish to be sad that more people can enjoy a game than just you. its pretty selfish to want fans have to play a dumbed down sequel to their favorite game. besides the fact that it will sell more, there is no benefit to it going muliplatformIts pretty selfish to be sad that more people can enjoy a game than just you. Happy. I've never been a PC gamer, and I couldn't play it on my PC even if I wanted to. Great franchises like this should be multiplayer, especially since they aren't from a first party company, so even if you only own on of the consoles, or a PC, you still get to experience a great title.
I don't think people are sad due to the fact that more people can enjoy the game and GTA DLC is a completely different situation. The situation here is that the game will be dumbed down to not take full advantage of the PC.Its pretty selfish to be sad that more people can enjoy a game than just you. [QUOTE="djsifer01"]Happy, im getting it for PS3. Why would any developer make a exclusive for PC?Games sell way better on consoles.tagyhagSimple, so they wouldn't be restricted by the limitation of 5 year old hardware. Its a business to make money. I highly doubt developers sit around and say, man i dont want to be restricted by old hardware, who cares if we sell 5 million less copies.

Sure they're a business, but some developers put their hearts out into a game and want it to be nothing but the best. :)
Don't know where you're getting that 5 million copies idea though. :(

Just a random number i used to make my point. I agree with you, i just wish all developers thought that way.Depends.
If the experience gets dumbed down then I'll be sad. I'd hate to see essentially Bad Company 3 instead of a true Battlefield 2 successor.
But perhaps DICE will give the console owners that experience, and give PC owners the 64 player battles with aerial combat, and xbox huge maps complete with mod support.
I'm a little disappointed at you console owners amused by the reactions of PC fans. You just remain ignorant to what it means to be a PC gamer as always. I imagine you guys would also be disappointed if a future big budget game lacked Xbox Live integration, or achievements, or leaderboards, or something.
But of course let's just remain in the dark. It's funny if PC gamers get screwed out of features that define the platform... You guys give console gamers a bad name.
What era is BF3 going to be set in? Is it going to stay in WW2 era? If it stays as a modern combat game how will it be any different from Bad Company 2 and Medal of Honor?
I am excited about it coming out for consoles because I don't have a PC that can runs games. Hower, I hope BF3 isn't another clone of Bad Company 2.
Not very happy but not very sad either. The thing is if they somehow not comprise it would be ok, but if they do then :s. If people realise the game is not better than BF2 they will simply lose tons of sales.

And then blame piracy.
That's how it works, right? A game known for it's multiplayer that gets low sales will have the blame pushed upon piracy. Yah, I'm looking at Epic...
After being incredibly disappointed in BF:BC2 I have no interest in buying a battlefield game directed at a console audience.
I will be happy if DICE can manage to get a full Battlefield experience (prone, jets, 32 or even 64 players) and large maps on consoles.
My hope for Battlefield 3 is that is every Battlefield ever and then some. I want to be riding a horse while gunning down people with an M60 on Omaha beach while a helicopter flys over with people using World War I firearms shooting at me. That would be awesome (if it was balanced right).
If the sequel to the Battlefield game I know and love on PC is compromised and dumbed down to work on console tech, then yes I will be upset. Because I have no idea how consoles will support 64 players with massive maps, jets, etc. The best consoles could do was 24 players for BF:BC2 with small maps, and even then that pushed it. Anyways enough with the spin off Bad Company, BF3 is supposed to be able to out-do BF2 and adding destructable environments just doesn't cut it. I'm expecting a fair bit more than something that was released back in 2005.
