I probably won't buy any of the new systems, but I also won't buy a new PC just to play the same crap that has always been avaialable.

If game development ever matures beyond the "next big gimmick" stage, I might return. Â But, I just don't see that happening since the programmers are all tech people and have no creativity.
If Sony makes me pay to play online, or charges a used game fee so I can't rent I will stop playing games altogether. I don't like gaming on any other device and I'm not putting up with charge for everything tactics like MS is doing. Gaming is already too expensive. Any more costs we're out. The price of games at $63+ with tax is already too high.Â

Nothing is stopping you from being on PSN and Steam :P (atm). It would be dumb for Sony to charge for PSN unless it was something stupid cheap like $7 a year then I wouldn't mind, but if it was like XBL gold price I would stay away from it tell I actually have money to throw around.

Those worthy of the master race have already joined its ranks in the last few years for precisely this reason. In other words, we're already past the time where this question should be asked.
I've been gaming on the PC for over 20 years, so it wouldn't be really a shift for me. That said, I've always had at least two consoles per gen, but if Sony shits the bed too, then I'll go only with PC/Wii U.

You can be a hermit who games on his couch and big screen hdtv and choose whatever controller you like. Â Don't like mouse and keyboard, well on pc you can use a 360 controller, or dualshock 3 if you wish. Â Only a matter of time before you can also use your ps4's controller on pc as well. Â Same goes for Xbox One's controller, they will make a pc version.

Nintendo removed it somewhat with Wii, but still exists. PC gamers are seen as nerds, who just stare at a screen. Playstation owners are seen as "cool and alright". Of course none of this is correct, but thats the image painted nowadays in society.

SONY & Microsoft failed me both by letting this generation go on for so long, all it has done is hurt the industry to the point of near stagnation. It's sad my pc from last September is more powerful than the PS4 and XBOX ONE. GO PC GUYS & GALS its just so much more superior, if you have a i3 or up and 2pci slots open then you can get a nvidia Gtx 660 oem 1.5gb for 100-150$ used/new from Alienware owners upgrading to a 670, the 660 oem gets 5400 on 3dmark11 fire strike OVERCLOCKED and for that price its a steal, that's what I had before I replaced it for the EVGA GTX 670. I'm building another pc with the 660 oem that's just sitting in my 670 box, its going to be a dedicated BOINC SETI@home, lol my Data crunching box has pore power then the ps4. There definitely is. I was always a PS gamer, then I tried eggsbox and it RRODed on me and after that I gave PC a chance and while I still pray to Lord Kaz (blessed thy is name) I have no problem accepting that PC is the overall best platform for gaming.

I cant share games on my PC. I stream, share content and social feature on PC Gaming .... more than consoles and more than what these will offer, why is it a bad thing? My PC has more than game focus. None of these things effect games. These consoles have PC architecture, are easier to develope for actually have good specs .... my PC maybe able to upgrade but we won't see that big advantage again for a year or 2 .... even if you can call it a big advantage.... So what do consoles lose this gen compared to last? NOTHING. Its all the same damn process over again. XBOX360 only had ONE game that beat Half-Life 2/Far Cry PC Versions .... GEARS OF WAR. and that lasted a whole what 6 months?
We will likely see a PS4 game that beats Crysis ect .... but it will only be for a time. Why would you switch from consoles if you like the experiances they offer? nothing you said even remotely effects that possibility.

Second, you sound VERY insecure with your manhood, which I find sad and I now feel sorry for you. Why I said what I said is because you don't have to sit at a desk with PC. You can sit on the couch too. You don't have to use K/M to play games, the controller is always an option including the PS4 and X1 controllers. You can use a wireless controller or wireless K/M and sit on the couch with your PC hooked to the TV. all that would be needed is a nice size hard mouse pad if using the wireless K/M.
