Are you prepared to be a PC gamer if the consoles fail us...?

I don't know a damn thing about pc hardware, plus most games that are exclusive to PC don't interest me in the slightest bit.

2 years prior these last consoles launched i been gaming on PC(not 100% of the time,always been a consoles guy),having the chance to not pay for the hardware is a plus.

I've got a capable PC to play games on high settings. But I mostly game on my 3DS and Wii U. So if the consoles somehow fail us (I assume you mean financially), then yes, I am ready. 

I'm already a PC gamer, bu if the consoles end up being not worth buying I will use the money to buy a top of the range PC.

PC should be primary gaming system for anybody not partial to handhelds. 

WiiU lacks 3rd-party and XBone ended up being son of satan. PS4 is the only console I'd recommend as a primary platform, but PC already kicks it's ass and it's only going to get worse.

PS4/PC/3DS most likely for me. WiiU if it has some really interesting Nintendo games, but for now my 3DS will do. XboxOne only if it keeps releasing exclusive and interesting games.

Vita is not likely, though I love the PSP, the Vita has very few games that interest me.

I understand if  you don't like sc2 as your personal opinion, but I personally love it, easily my favorite game of all time, which replaced my previous favorite game of all time (brood war).

Yes.  The upcoming console generation hasn't impressed me as the industry continues to over-promise and overcharge while under-delivering.  I got a Wii U for the inevitable Nintendo exclusives, I'm on the fence about the PS4 and I'm definitely not getting the Xbone.  We'll see what Sony has to say; if they fail to impress with exclusives or reveal a buttload of console limitations and/or consumer stipulations, I'll have no choice but to go PC as they are quickly becoming the more consumer friendly product.

Maybe I'll even see what the SteamBox is all about.

I dont think Sony is going to let us down, they admitted the problems of the PS3, and they showed how they are correcting those problems.

I've been a PC first gamer for years..No doubt I'm going opposite next gen pre e3..I will go PS first instead of Xbox atm..Although I dont think I can stop my step daughter from wanting a WiiU for her birthday coming up! :P..So that will be first.

:lol: not surprising this is coming from a lemming. Im prettysure after that abominatuon MS has put out lately, the majority of people converting are lemmings. PC + Ps3(4) is the way to go.

cheering for a company you have no connection to is idiocy. Unless you have shares in sony/ms/amd/nintendo than who cares which is more successful.  I understand brand loyalty but this goes to another level. A closed ecosystem such as apple,wiiU,xb1,ps4 ect.. does not look out for the consumer - its a buisness stratedgy that enables you to keep competing product out of your ecosystem.  I can use 360 controller, wii mote w/sensorbar, and probably dualshock3 and moves(havent tried it) as well as dongles for all legacy stuff. No propreitary cables or  propreitary disc media (gamecube,wii, wiiu,xbox360(accessories)) I wonder if kinect or ps eye will work with pc to do 3d modeling, similar to the original kinect. PC is ULTIMATE FREEDOM in comparison with the rest. Oculus Rift anyone? Multi monitor? Have you guys heard of the LEAP motion? Pretty cool similiar to kinect except it tracks your fingers  since its made for sitdown use. Any way MS,SONY, with the exception of maybe NINTENDO will keep charging 60+tax for a game and maybe go back to 70( remember the old days? 75 bones for a cart?) and PC users will continue to pay less. When  game a w dlc goes past 120$ you have to stop and think. Heck every weekend on steam there is a new game to play for free for a few days to try it out. This weekend was Defiance(on sale for 40) and Chivalry medevil warfare. Is that gonna happen on the next gen? ANSWER ME THAT!!!!!!

Consoles already failed me. Biggest offender was the PS3 though.

A handheld would be nice to go with my PC though. I'm leaning more towards 3DS at this moment since it's actually getting interesting games. Not sure though.

The sad thing is SC2 actually has some manners compared to the other 2 "big" online games, Dota 2 and LoL. Both whom have a pretty bad community.

Well personally I'm master league level, so I dont have a problem playing the game and beating people at it.  You're talking about an rts that alot of ppl have become very good at since 1998.  You probably feel like people are rushing you, when in fact it is that you are just too slow at the game.  Even if you get rushed, doesnt mean you cannot counter it and still win.  Look at this video, my buddy uploaded a video where my team in a 2v2 gets rushed heavily by all in ling and roach build.  My ally gets wiped out instantly and it turns into a 1v2 quickly...and i still ended up sh*tting on these guys.  Everyone in the game was master level btw.  Here's the vid, this is how you can play when, well IFFFF, you get better.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jBXD5Zx0Uig

Honestly, for console type games there is hardly a difference, interface-wise, between playing a 360/PS3 and an HTPC.  Built one for a friend about six months ago, and he hardly ever even touches a mouse, instead using a remote to launch into Steam and his controller from there.  What is there really you have to prepare yourself for?  Mind Blowing Sales?  Mods?
