Arma 2 vs Uncharted 2

Which one is technically superior?

In terms of "graphical realism", not counting artistic direction such as color schemes?

Although I UC2 has better models. (characters)

I refuse to do a poll as I just want to see opinions and of course, some degree of technical explanation.

Anyone who thinks UC2 is technically superior or even technically equal is a moron. No offense. Just stop thinking that some one out there actually does.

Arma II can handle 1500+ AI battles. dozens of planes in the skies, explosions etc, with 100 square mile landscapes and viewing distances as far as 10km. Thats further than they eye can see of rendered landscape.

It does have some sweet character models, lighting and textures to go with that enormous scale.

There is a considerable difference in scale between these two games, I don't consider them comparable on any level.

PC can't even do HD. So obviously Uncharted 2 wins [spoiler] It's sad that one day. No one will know that reference on this board [/spoiler] jg4xchamp

Arma 2 is definitely more impressive technically, given its scope and interactivity of the environment. It just looks damn gorgeous. However, Arma 2's graphics are a bit inconsistent. The game looks considerably less delicious when you're driving a car somehow. Still, it is one of the best-looking games out there.

U2 wins because the blu ray can render impressive amounts of 4d graphics with amazing physics and realistic particle effects and horrible low resolution texturesLookAnDrolL

Eeveryone already knows that PC cannot pull off the power of teh cell of the PS3. PS3>360>PC in terms of graphics

I also do believe my 400+ hours of ArmA 2 will beat the value of my 5-6 hour romp through Uncharted 2 and the 5-10 hours I spent online.

Oh btw, that 400+ hours was pretty much all original content that I created or was created by the community.

I'd like to corraborate this post. Uncharted 2 is fun, sure, but I've spent a total of ~150 hours playing the Arma 2 games, and I haven't even touched the online or co-op aspects that Wasdie plays. There is so much to that game that it's insane, and in a proper world it would have far more recognition than Uncharted 2, simply for delivering on its massive scale. Of course, those who haven't played it wouldn't know. ;)

If that makes me an elitist, well, then I'm a god damned elitist. :D

Nonsense, wouldn't want to come across of them fancy-shmancy elitists now would we? :P Besides, PC gaming costs like $2000, and you have to upgrade every month. Not for me, no sir.
