As a xbox 360 owner does it feel weird to play ps3? When I play ps3 I dont get that xbox live feeling. I like 360 for its xbox live and american feel. It also feels weird playing games on ps3 that are better on xbox 360. Games dont feel home to ps3. Its probably because im so used to how great 360 is. 360 is bright and colorful and ps3 looks dull and generic. To me ps3 feels like a generic brand and 360 feels like a name brand. So ps3 would be a waste of money for me.

360 tends to go for the bright colorful look.

whereas PS3 tends to go for a more modern and sleek look.

I'll tell you this, some people that primarily play games on the 360 complain about the Dualshock controller, and I've noticed a trend, people that get accustomed to the 360 controller complain about the Dualshock, which is interesting, because the basic dualshock design hasn't changed in over a decade and dozens of Millions of gamers played comfortably with it before the Xbox brand was conceived so i can tell you that if you get a Ps3, you'll most likely feel awkward when holding the DS3 at first instead of your regular 360 controller, other than that I don't think so.

I bought my ps3 before I bought a 360, so the 360 felt "weird" to me. It also felt cheap, from the box itself to the interface, very cluttered interface imo. That was before NXE, so I don't know how it is now. I sold it before that update happened, not enough worthwhile exclusives to keep it, and my ps3 just did everything better, from games to media to customization.

The xmb will adjust brightness automatically depending upon the time, just change the theme, wallpaper use a dynamic theme. That is just a wrong thing to say, PS3 has a more classy feel to it.

360 is obviously for the grade school crowd, which explains why it's bright and colorful - whereas the PS3's "generic" look is actually a sleek design aimed for the grownup, successful business people who can afford quality.

Indeed, those are two of the biggest selling points of the Ps3 as you just noted, the XMB interface is sleek, simple and user friendly, and people arent forced to Pay anything to play their games online.

The 360 plays games which I'm sure of as I own one, and even yesterday, I ate a banana while playing Castlevania HD. I recommend Bananas due to the potassium. IMO, people need to regulate their diets better, as it can help alleviate these "weird feelings" they get when they play games, just a guess really. :P

The PS3 is more fun to play when I eat apples. I use the Wii mote blade accessory to eat oranges, as the Wii mote is the only controller I can peel oranges effectively.

Sorry I couldn't help more with the feeling weird TC as mentioned in this thread, I wanted to help. :(

--------

Hey, did MGS4 ever come to 360 in other regions TC, I don't think it came out in the U.S., but I figured you may remember.

really? i loved the old 360 dash more than the ps3 or new 360 dash.

was incredibly simple and quick to navigate.

Then again im one of those people who covers their PC desktop in icons... i like to have everything right in front of me without having to navigate menus.

By the way, did own a Ps3 in the Past? If you bought a Ps3 early in its life cicle and then got rid of it that'd explain why you aren't comfortable with the console, there werent that many good games during its first year aside from the multiplats that generally performed better on the 360

Hardly. Poor assembling can result in hardware issues too. So it's not irrelevant at all.

Poor assembling can cause one or two percent of consoles to malfunction. It has nothing to do with a chipset's overwhelming tendency to overheat.

Yes it is. The faults in the 360 have nothing to do with how or where it is assembled. It was poorly designed, by an American company.

You are aware this is sarcasm pointed at the TC right? Anyways it is designed by a american company, country of assembly isn't that big a deal considering all 3 are assembled in the same area "China" gives more reason to say it's because it's American hardware thats to blame, Chinese slave assemblers can't help they are givin crummy parts.

Not an alt account...... Conspiricy... I think the only wierd thing for some people is the controller. The Games are completely subjective but anyone who is use to using the xbox controller thats then uses the ps3 one will probably have a hard time adjusting.

A temporary overheat is indicated by two red lights. The infamous "RROD" is a general hardware failure, often cause by the console becoming so hot that the chips either crack or become separated from the motherboard.

lol? Cell processor was designed by IBM and sony, RSX is nvidia, only the blu ray tech is sony, rest everything is assembed in china. You do know Sony is a multinational company right? same goes for microsoft. Scea employs tons of americans.

First of all, I wasn't talking even talking about Sony. Though, the producer of the parts is also irrelevant in this particular case. Sony designed the console, using parts from other companies. Same goes for Microsoft. And the flaws within the 360 are the direct result of poor design. Microsoft is an American company with divisions in other parts of the world, while Sony is a Japanese company with divisions in other parts of the world.

And the PS2 isn't the only example of design flaws from a Japanese company. The first Xbox was designed by Americans, right? And it was a pretty reliable system. Much more reliable than the PS2, which was designed by a Japanese company. My point was - blaming a nation for the mistakes of a corporation is stupid.

Unless the corporations in that country are overwhelmingly terrible. At that point, at least some blame has to be placed on the work ethic of that country.

Unless the corporations in that country are overwhelmingly terrible. At that point, at least some blame has to be placed on the work ethic of that country.

I can use the same excuse for Japan. I can point out things like this and this and start blaming the Japanese work ethic for that.

You can point out two minor examples and I can point out the massive economic recession caused by American companies. Quite a bit of difference.

We are going off-topic here. Can we return on-topic? Bringing up products and nationality would only create problems here.

360 interface is cluttered and full of tabs. Perfect for kids and teenagers. That explains the avatars and MS points instead of real money. PS3 interface is clean and simple made for adults who care about important things like convenience and functionality. No PSN points or kiddy avatars.

How can we be on-topic when the thread was completely full of nonsense from the start?
