but it's the same game D=I was hesitant to get this, but the reviews have convinced me. I'll probably get the PS3 version since I recently got a multiplat (MW2) on the 360, and I go in a cycle.
If it improved over the predecessor, it should have gotten a 10, or at least a 9.5.Junior_AINYou know there won't be a 10 in a LOOOONG time...

It got a 9.0 because it did improve. You can't release the same game over again and get the same score.
Anyway, I hate to say it, but I can't trust this review when the last one got a 9.0 it didn't deserve.
I can, however, trust GB's review, since I know Ryan (and the rest of the staff) realized that AC had some problems.
[QUOTE="Stevo_the_gamer"][QUOTE="Jandurin"] well i would've complained. PS3 gameboxes never look as good as their 360 counterparts.Jandurinlol. I can actually see you doing that. :P i'll make sure i do next time someone uses a PS3 box for a multiplat title. Really, the nerve! Everyone knows green > clear plastic.
I prefer the PS3 boxes, more compact and not as easy to break. I find the green colouring of the 360 cases a bit.. tacky. I never really liked green as a colour though.
An A, like the first one (should have).JandurinPwnt!
It's not a demo :cry:Just got my copy and was happy to see a download code for the SC: Conviction demo inside as well. Looking forward to playing here shortly.

I was thinking the same thing. If it were the PS3 boxart being shown, I wonder if he would have said the same thing? :?[QUOTE="KingTuttle"]
Why does it matter? The only people that would even care about something that small are cows...everyone knows it's multi. Why would a PC box make any difference?

Of course I would have, and I have...

Well, my first 2 hours have been okie dokie. I'd say this game is worth a 7.5-8.0 so far, but nothing higher.

I didn't buy it...but at least you got that Splinter Cell Demo you were raving about. I will just have to wait and see what folks say about it.
Um this is Ubisoft :PLike many other posters in this thread, I was wary of ACII after the disappointing first, and even more wary after seeng it get the SAME score (and we all know how much AC1 deserved that 9.0...).However, reading around...it seems that the biggest flaw, among others, has been rectified. I'll probably have to get this. EA sure as hell has been on a winning streak.

I am waiting to see what my fellow gamers think of AC2, I have the money, but I don't have the willpower. I didn't love the first one. The SC demo was a huge plus for me.
I kept hearing people including Bio rave about it yesterday, all the way up to today. Bummer.
It is better than the first one, no more repetitive missions, and they've added waaaaay more types of missions and intertwined storylines. I liked the first one, but it had soem major flaws that lead to pure boredom sometimes. This one keeps you busy right thruogh and keeps getting better and better as you go along with every upgrade you get. This time the upgrades are useful too. If you didn't like the first one because of the way the missions were laid out, but you liked everything else about the game, you're gonna like this one much better.Phazevariance
wow really? i didnt even bother finishing the first one. got extremely bored. at first im impressed. but as the game progresses the game gets very repetitive and oring, but i may have to buy this game if thats true.
So far it's really good . Way better than the original imo. Definitely exceeding my expectations which were high as it is.
Sorry, mate. But I'm quite skeptical on that -- if you can prove otherwise, by all means do so. But I honestly do not see why it matters what boxart is shown. :?Of course I would have, and I have...

Hm, could I play this without playing the first one?rockguy92Don't touch the first one. It's awful.
[QUOTE="rockguy92"]Hm, could I play this without playing the first one?BrownesqueDon't touch the first one. It's awful. agreed. I did say back then that this one could be amazing and turns out it is. I still don't know whether I want to get AC2 before Infamous though. The next games I want include Dragon Age, Infamous, maybe this and Ratchet: ACIT. Don't know what to choose =[

Sorry, I'm skeptical on your motives that doesn't seem a good use of time on my end, with such a little return.
Also, for the record, There is no way anyone outside of my directed message would fully comprehend the entire context of my quote, so I'll leave it at that.
Once you prove you own and play all the consoles, and that you have finally played and finished all the top games for all systems this year (2009), then I will may look into your request later.
