OMG lol... ive got the 360 demo and the ps3 demo and thats pure bull ive never seen any suck bull in my life... it actually looks slightly better and the controlls feel a little crisper on the ps3... god im sure that was a fanboy positng some crappy shots with tv settings changed... crist or his ps3 is simply broken and running without the hdmi cable... You really like that "foliage and trees" bash argument dont you? Well, i finally played both demos and that "problem" is there on PS3 version aswell. Both look exactly the same except the fact 360´s textures look a bit better.

Well I was lucky enough to get a few dozen BETA keys for the PC version of the demo (and give it away to my friends and on forums etc.), but I truly hated it, due to performance issues (i normally play 1080p-high-2x AA on my GTX 260M) and poor network issues...smitty7002

It is called beta for a reason…
Probably you have performance issues network issues because is a BETA and is not optimised.
Even in crisis a GTX260 can get better fps in 1080p with high setting.

FACT- PS3 has no dithering while 360 does.

If your connection is better on the ps3, then that should be your best choice, the differences between the actual consoles are small

I dont know why you like to stare at trees in a game :) but the website itself states the 360 has sharper textures and the ps3 version is slightly washed out, however they did prefer the ps3 version. Keep in mind that this is still the beta not the finished game.

yea well as i said, i cant really max the game...and that's a problem for me. unless there is a radical optimization patch, it's a no go. at heart, im a PC-gamer, as seen in my sig. i prefer PC gaming over consoles due to mouse+kb, since i can play much better than i do with consoles' dam joysticks :p

and yea...stop whining over graphics, the pc rapes both consoles :p (but it runs @ 20fps for me :( lol?) for me, if the difference is between KZ2 graphics and an older game like COD3 (3!), then i will have a problem. if it has graphics that at least are up to par with halo 3, im fine with it (which most 2010 games are! BF:BC2 looked pretty good, but i wasn't focusing on the textures, i was focusing on headshotting ppl from a mile away LOL). im willing to have a slight graphics degradation in switch for a better experience as well.

i guess the main problem now is A) using LIVE or PSN (community/players and B) how the controller feels (i have friday off for winter break, i'll download the demo for 360 and try it out).

also in regards to my "360 lag issue", there isn't any lag whatsoever, i can join a match of halo 3 and play perfectly (though i suck at it really bad after playing a few months exclusively on my PC...dropped my KD by 0.04 :O). it's just that my console is connected via my laptop as a wireless adapter so everytime i play LIVE, my laptop has to be with me (usually it is, but sometimes it isnt). i might try get an adapter used on craiglists, currently im on tight video game budget since i spent like 700 bucks getting new baseball equipment and im saving up for a nice car (mazda CX-7).

also, yea...XBOX players are...umm..very competitive and intense. much harder competition if i try to snipe in halo vs sniping in KZ (love 1 shot body kills with the VC-32 :))

Turn HBAO and anti-aliasing off. Make sure you aren't forcing either in your respective graphics card control panel.

PS3 version here. My gf plays The Sims 3 all the time, which is why I won't bother with the PC version. The 360 controller is the best but I boycot XBL Gold and would need the Wi-Fi adapter anyway, all in all its not worth it. So I'll be playing the PS3 version online for free.

well, download the demo on the 360, if its that much btter compered to the ps3 vertio then go for it

but so far i think the ps3 is the way to go

I can confirm that yes, the trees do look all screwy like that in the 360 version. I don't know how they look in the ps3 version.

pc.... all right if you have to go console then go PS3 for sure, it's the only console I don't have and the only one worth it's price (2 very bad decisions on my part, have these dust bricks wii and 360 sitting to my right, oh well)

I think its more a question of PC versus Consoles. Unlike Bioshock 2 and MW2, the PC version of BC2 has more things you'd expect from the PC version, with dedicated servers (allowing for modding possibilities) and 32 players versus the 24 players on consoles (which I admit, is pretty weak). Just as well, there is no splitscreen (at least not confirmed), and the graphics are bound to be better on the PC version, even if slightly.

So, PC version is probablybest in this case.

i also thought the screen caps were too good to be true. i mean come on, 360 doesn't just look that much more better. so gfx point is null, and im preferring PSN over 360...now it's just the controller. as i said, i would've bought it on PC, but performance issues are severe for me, and it's fine if i dont buy a pc game once in a while. i have 17 pc games installed right now...that's a lot of games to play (ive only beaten 3 of em...lol).

btw...im not inclined towards my ps3, ive only owned it for 1.5 months, so ive been playing it a lot. ive owned my 360 since launch (gone through 3 of them though :() and loved all the way up until i got my gaming pc in mid-2009. then i stopped playing it since i had a much better medium to play games...then i started playing ODST, then stopped and christmas came...got a ps3 and that's that. i still have a lot of games to beat on my 360 though, like at least 6 games, including the AWESOME ballad of gay tony (im a "perfectionist" in GTA, i've gotten 100% in GTA4, 100% in LatD, and i plan to get 100% in BoGT...but those mission 100% objectives can get quite tedious sometimes...).

this thread will end on friday though :\, once i finally try the 360 version lulz.

yea, im not really into modded games, ive had bad experiences with halo trial lol. i usually just play how the MP is, unless the game is like...TF2 were there are cool map mods. dedicated servers aren't a big deal then. as for max player count, im used to 8 on 8 haha. i play COD4 with a clan on regular basis, and teams are usually like that. i hate when games get 15v15, unless the map can accomodate it (like Pyrrhus Rise in KZ2). imo, teamwork in small groups > big fragfest, but this is only IMO. i can say for sure that the pc version of BC2 looked better than the ps3 version, though it ran pretty bad for me. the graphics details are great, and i envy the 5 series radeon owners who will get DX11 support as the Devs. have said they will incorporate >: (

Halo players are ownage, the same can't be said for KIllzone 2. Anyway the graphics are crap on both consoles, the PS3 being the most by a large margin.ocstew

haha psn has etiquette?? I play cod4 modern warfare 2 on it almost every day and there is always some kiddy d bag talking trash, being racist, or just being a retard in general. Also some matches ive played, there is so much lag due to a crappy host that the server times out and shuts down the game. Its not frequent or anything but it does happen.

Dude if you were really a PC gamer you would know a difference from a beta and a finshed game or demo. The ps3 and 360 are on their demos, while this is just a PC beta. DICE themselves said there is still much optimization to done and the beta is lacking the higher textures of the retail. I have a 260gtx OC and I run the game at all high with 2x aa at 1600x900. Turn HBAO off as it seems to be bugged and is a performance killer also download newest drivers. Wait for the final PC version or at least a PC demo before you make assumptions.
