Bad news for MP3:C's score?

8.0 tops. Maybe even a 7.5 from GameSpot.

This game will directly be compared to BioShock, which is fresh in a lot of reviewer's and gamers' minds. And being a Wii game, there will probably be some kind of control issue.

I'll probably still end up grabbing it, but as far as you system warrior types go, yeah, Metroid will flop. Probably won't sell very well either.

I don't think MP3:C will sell poorly either. Nintendo has done a good job of marketing it, between the preview channel, the commercials, and the many website advertisements I've seen. It has definitely gotten more attention than MP2:E did.

Yeah, they gave that garbage called Halo 2 an AAA score when it did not deserve it, and any honest Halo fan who enjoys good single player and better multiplayer would tell you that, Halo 2 had online yet pathetic single player and multiplayer was not an improvment over the first game imo.

Still though, I would imagine IGN is only bluffing, only a retard would give Metroid below a 9.0, cause it has and rightfully deserves it. Considering MP3 is looking to be the best of the series from everything that I have seen, there is no doubt it won't be AAA.

No one with a right mind would compare Metroid to Bioshock because that is downright stupid. I already finished Bioshock and seriously its storyis not nearlyas deep as any of the Metroid Prime games. While it has good gameplay and some interesting features, Metroid will still be a better game by a long shot.

If Matt is reviewing MP3 it will probebly get no less than 9.5, i didn't listen to the podcast but why does Matt think either 1up or Gamespot will give it a 8.0 or 8.5? solidte

8.8 - Happened to both TP and Super Paper Mario. 7.9 - Motorstorm. 8.6 - Resistance. 9.0 - Bioshock (yes, that's AAA, but it seems to have lowered chances of GOTY in many minds). GS has shut quite a few fanboys' mouths in the past year. However, EGM, as a part of 1up, did give Lair a 5.5 on average, and there was 1up's Warhawk note, so anything could happen...

I am under the impression Jeff forms reviews for uniqueness in order to gain attention for the site. The two best examples I can think of are WarioWare and Zelda. I believe Wario was hyped AA or maybe lower and no one had that game in mind at all. Then out of the blue Jeff gives it AAA. Also, the opposite occurs with Zelda as we all know.

So the point of this?Let's all hype this7.0-7.5 and maybe Jeff can suprise us with an AAAA >.>.
