Anyone else think the characters look a little weird? Kinda like they took N64 ones and deformed them a little... Or am I seeing thingslocopatho

From my understanding it's to fit the theme of the game. Banjo looks a little more blocky, much like the blocks you build vehicnles with. Also like the leven designs where everything seems to be built with blocks, or stichted together, etc...

people say this game looks like crap because everyone was expecting Banjo&Kazooie 3: Traditional Platformer.

If this game was an enitrely new IP, i recon it would be getting the same hype as LBP.

Seriously, what looks like crap about it? It just seems to me that you're whining because it's not following the original formula. Yet, as wmc540 said, most gamers complain there is no innovation. So as soon as RARE changes up their formula a bit to maybe add something to the game to make it "different", it's all of a sudden not banjo anymore and it looks like crap. To be honest, the art style is leaps and bounds above many other games. Since there hasn't been enough gameplay shown to pass off that the game is crap, why make that assumption?

yeah...because the fans totally asked them to strip out almost all the platforming, teamwork moves, and focus on vehicles.../sarcasm

If anything this is even worse than the wind waker incident when it comes to alienating their fanbase.

If the game did the same thing as the past 2 banjo games, here would be the reactions.

1. The reviews would slam it

2. everyone will say RARE has lost its spark and call the game crap

Looks familiar? Yeah, PDZ. If RARE didn't change the game up they would be slammed from left and right, but they are now anyways. Truth: RARE hasn't made a bad game this generation, they know what they're doing.
