If sales are all you care about, hell, the Wii is definitely the way to go. Other then that, heh.

Just save some money..the Xbox will be coming down in price soon.kdt55
How about the HD DVD addition for it? Reason I ask is that I own a PS3 atm, but I do want to get an 360 as well at some point..but I'd want both the HD and the unit itself, which atm, is a combined price point I'm not willing to enter for the system.
Call of Duty 3 Wii flopped, so that's why no Call of Duty 4 for Wii, only PS3/Xbox.360.
Lucasarts said they were interested in the Wii, but the next Star Wars Unleashed game is only for Xbox 360/PS3. (there is a seperate DS/PSP/PS2 version made by an inferior dev team -- still no Wii)
Valve is making Half Life 2 Orange Box with the new Team Fortress 2 packaged in, only for Xbox 360/PS3. Why no Wii if it sells so well?
I would like to see more evidence of this reversal or flocking of developers to Wii to support them. But I see more and more daily examples of devs abandoning Wii and spending their attention on PS3/360, the critical Soul Calibur 4 being the latest one. After putting Link into the Gamecube version of SC2, Namco still chose to skip the Wii for SC4.

Sales = dev support = better games.
Games may be better than sales, but without sales you stop getting good games.
DS is destroying the PSP...still gets great dev support.
Many developers are just simply putting ports, rehashes, spinoffs on the Wii. Soul Calibur 4 is announced for 360/Ps3...Wii gets a spinoff adventure game. RE5 is announced for PS3/360, Re4 gets ported and a light gun spinoff is made. Ubisoft gives GRAW 2 and Vegas to PS3/360...Wii gets unfinished PS2 game and Red Steel. Main FF games, not on Wii...but sequel to lame spinoff makes its way there.
Where's GTA, Assasin's Creed, Oblivion, Haze, FEAR, CoD? Why are all these multiplats not on the Wii, theres no deal binding them not...and it supposedly has great dev support...where are they? Why Nintendo Why?
Good point white sox. I am wondering too. All of the Wii hardware sales has not really changed the type of games the Wii is getting, which are right now primarily PS2/PSP ports, or repackaged titles or "remixed" titles. Almost all of the industry gold is being spent on the big name PS3/360 projects.

Your a PS3 owner...your good. I was talking to the Wii owners. I think that the PS3 and 360 is a toss up(HD or Blu-Ray, either way its HD)...its the Wii that I think is seriously lacking. I'm a Wii owner by the way and had high hopes for the system.
[QUOTE="Ganon_919"][QUOTE="lawlersauce"][QUOTE="reaperstoll"][QUOTE="ff7isnumbaone"]Nintendo is immature. It was fun when i was 8 then I move to sega around age 10. I'm 19 now and the wii is kiddie as hell.white_sox
Hmm, a classic case of "I am grown up now I can only play bad ass games". You are probably going to be replied to with manhunt 2 and No More Heroes, the wiis 2 upcoming mature games. But really the problem here is your need to put forth a "hardcore" attitude by eschewing all things that could be seen as immature or childish.

No, his is right as well. He used the singular "sign" instead of the plural "signs".Well I guess I'm self-owned then.
Forgive me, I go to school in Florida :P
That seems to be the only argument that Wii fanboys have at the moment. Because the Wii has had amazing sales, people automatically assume that this makes the Wii the best system. Once people start seeing the full potential of the X360 and the PS3, the Wii sales will drop faster than a lead balloon. What would you rather play, Resident Evil 5 and Soul Calibur 4, or R.E Umbrella Chronicles and Soul Calibur Legends?Gismo25
yeah and the wiimote won't get better.
How's the online gaming going? Oh wait, there isn't any. :|
I can't wait to play Grand Theft Auto 4, Resident Evil 5 and Soul Calibur 4 on the Wii. Oh wait, it's not going there. :|

Any developer that's not supporting the Wii at this point in time needs to have their upper management rearranged, pure and simple. There's absolutely no reason, and if Wii's missing out on the multiplats a year from now because developers can't pull thier heads out of their asses, then they don't deserve any of the success that the Wii can give them.
Hell, even Rockstar's jumping onboard with Manhunt 2 and a reported 3 unannounced games, all of which I imagine are ports with reworked control schemes. I don't doubt for a second that one of those is a GTA game, port or not.
The Wii is selling because it's fun. I hate to generalise but people don't give a crap about bump mapping, AI, polygons, FPSs etc. It's a fun machine. Sure, the Wii could have been better. But I'd definately take it anyday over what is essentially a souped up PS2/XBOX.
And who cares if only "casuals" are buying the Wii? You so called "hardcore" gamers don't really make up much of the percentage of people buying games consoles. And the PS2 was catered to the casual market so I don't see how you can use that argument against the Wii.

Which ones?
(Plenty of new games coming) Plus ... Super Paper Mario/ Resident Evil 4 Wii Edition/ Excite Truck/ Wii Sports/ Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess/ WarioWareI only see 1 good game and it's old - RE4.
Looks like they are trying to cash in on remakes with the Wii.
maybe but no one cares what you think. different ppl different tastes.Good point white sox. I am wondering too. it takes time to change that since good games aren't created in 4 months. devs are late to the game. that's why only recently do we hear about publishers and devs creating wii divisions. the 360 and ps3 ones were in place well before they launched.
[QUOTE="JDW_games"]Truth hurts. The Wii is selling faster than the 360 and much better than the PS3. Nintendo Wii is not even a year old yet and they are over the 7 million mark. New top notch games are coming and even if the graphics aren't up to par with the 360 or PS3, they are still on par or slightly better than the original XBOX and there are plenty of things to do graphics wise with the Wii. The games are great, and that is what counts. Bash Nintendo all you want, but they are laughing all the way to the bank and us Nintendo fans are still happy. Neal_Gore
Does it have any good games?
it has many good games out now, its just a matter of preference. TC already mentioned some of the good ones, but theirs more like The Godfather, Sonic, Scarface, Madden 07, Rayman raving rabbids, etc.

You mean other than Zelda, WarioWare, Paper Mario, Mario Party, Wii Sports, and all the amazing Virtual Console Games? There's a great lineup too, Metroid: Corruption, along with Super Smash Brawl, Mario Strikers, and the New Res. Evil 4 Wii Edition should be good.
So what were you saying about good games?
The wii still has no games.
I dont care about sales.

Yep no games at all...Yet my son is playing something that looks like Sonic right next to me and he is using a Wiimote and it looks amazing......I wonder what they call it then if it not a game and yet he is using the Wii to move Sonic
IT's not about friggin games anymore, its about the Feeling you get while playing those games. If ONE Wii game has 10 minutes of joy from the gameplay or can make your parents smile and play with you or can make you feel like you are actually playing AS something instead of sitting on a couch pushing buttons, then it is just as good as a 20 hour complex graphic fest on the other two consoles. This is what consumers see and that is something my eyes have been opened to as well. What we know as standard gaming is changing and you need to accept it.

I don't pay 60 euro's to play 7.6 games, sorry, but the way I see it wii games should be a lot cheaper compared to ps3 and 360. Games such as mass effect with million dollar budget and groundbreaking technology is worth 60 euro's, not some multiplatform last gen gimmicky 7.6 sonic game.

For all of you that think Nintendo isn't selling games, go to Amazon and look at top selling games. Nintendo appeals to the masses, not just kids. If all you play is FPS shooters and games like that you are missing out on a lot of other fun games. JDW_games
Fun games are fun yes, for about 2 hours then they get boring. Games like mass effect etc keep you going for weeks and leave you with something better than fun a worthwhile EXPERIENCE to be remembered.
honestly, what would be so hard about porting over wii-motes to 360/ps3 if they were such a big deal? it'd be such an easy usb device to plug and play with new wii-mote enabled games.

lol i'm 30 now. it's hard for me to find time for games that will take me weeks of 4-8 hours a day to beat. i'm guessing that i'm like most ppl too. just not most on this forum. as for an experience to be remembered. I have those experience and as i remember them it was always about a good story and fun gameplay. not graphics.

games have been the same price at least in the US for has long has I can think of.... Also I could care less about a score, I don't need a score to tell me if I am allowed to like a game....Should I ask Gamespot if I am allowed to enjoy Mario Party 8 because I love the game right now.....their are many games that have got higher that I think are crap am I not allowed because Gamespot say that the game gets a higher score so I have to like it more....I would love to see the games be cheaper but it not going to happen....O and this Sonic is not miltoplatform or last gen sorry to upset you
