Bash the Wii all you want, but Nintendo is still gaining on 360 and smoking PS3

Truth hurts. The Wii is selling faster than the 360 and much better than the PS3. Nintendo Wii is not even a year old yet and they are over the 7 million mark. New top notch games are coming and even if the graphics aren't up to par with the 360 or PS3, they are still on par or slightly better than the original XBOX and there are plenty of things to do graphics wise with the Wii. The games are great, and that is what counts. Bash Nintendo all you want, but they are laughing all the way to the bank and us Nintendo fans are still happy. Actually, the 360 currently has far more quality games than the Wii.
Sure, that's only my opinion, but I'd find it difficult to argue otherwise.

Using a standard controller of the sort that we've been using since the NES days (ok with a few more buttons) = bad gameplay? Innovation does not make an older standard obsolete, not in the case of games. Infact with many games I would prefer to use a standard controller than a Wiimote because it feels more natural.

Correction Wii Bowling with mates owns all those games the other Wii sports titles are pretty bad. I was at my buds house and we all had a blast but after four rounds of bowling not one person in the room could think of anything else that they wanted to play on it. Golf was horrible, Baseball was lame, and Tennis whilenot exactly badwas still no match for Bowling.Four games of bowling and every bit of fun that can be squeezed out of the Wii multiplayer was finished.
How's the online gaming going? Oh wait, there isn't any. :|
I can't wait to play Grand Theft Auto 4, Resident Evil 5 and Soul Calibur 4 on the Wii. Oh wait, it's not going there. :|

You can have your sales, I would rather get better games. With Namco leaving scraps on the Wii and the higher-quality titles on the 360/PS3, that's how I prefer it. Nearly every game that came out across all three platforms scored the worst on the Wii anyways. (note I said nearly, I know people will use Madden Wii as an example, but that game only scored 0.2 points higher, but it scored worse than the PS2 version!)

That is a very good point. Look at all these 3rd party developers. They make the higher end, more "mature" stuff for the PS360, while leaving more "fun" and "family" style games for the Wii. It makes sense, but I'm trying to use this to show that the Wii isn't being taken as seriously as some Wii fanboys wish it to be.
Then again, a lot of Wii fanboys are perfectly happy in their animated Mario pipes...I think they're stuck in one or something...

You fail to understand that you cant tell people what they should and shouldnt like. I have no interest in shooters, and many other dont either - deal with it. Maybe some people dont actually find GeoW, R:FOM or Rainbow Six that enjoyable?

Funny thing is, whenever I bring this up in a discussion about the graphics of a 360/PS3 game, I get flamed if I ask if its actually any good as opposed to just having good grahics. Its apparently not ok to have a new, interesting controller with no games, but its fine to have shiny graphics and no good games. Go figure.
If you all want to have a taste of motion-control done correctly for hardcore gamers, play the Godfather:Blackhand's edition and Scarface ! You will feel why this is more immersive.
Madden 2007 is really something that made me realized that motion-control in sports can be more fun and more hardcore (easy to learn for casuals but don't try to beat someone who has mastered the Wii controls if you're a newcomer).
Seriously, it is obvious that a lot of people here haven't played the Wii or that have played bad games that doesn't make the gameplay fresh and fun for them. Bashing something to me means that you do not feel well within yourself and you try to regain a little bit of control in these forums !

Yeah Wii visited me and tried to sufficate me 'cuz the Wii WAS made for non hardcore purposes, besides the Wii ain't got the power to make games as awesome as MS or SONY.....Definition of the Wii=Upgraded GameCube with new control, new shape and same graphics....MMM...Makes me wanna go to BestBuy and throw out 250$ on it....Yeah...

Shiny graphics and bad games...MMM....Makes wanna list all the ''bad'' games MS has brought out for the 360 in the past 20 months, although it'll be a complete waste of time knowing there are so many.....
This is true, but game droughts hurt, and there are only three games worth owning. And the graphics have yet to surpass the Xbox (SMG does surpass the Xbox, but it isnt out yet.
The sales are great and all, and if they remain good, third parties will be less heisitant about making games on the wii. But as for now, the wii doesnt have many amazing games, and the graphics are still last gen.
