For those of you that beat the game, do you think Rocksteady plans on making a sequel? I think they definatley should because of all the the unexplained things and what not but, they said they were going to make a silver age prequel. What do you think?

Sequel. I'm not a fan of having prequels for anything because it tries to tell stories I don't really want told and one that could mess up what I think if the character very easily.

I want a Catwoman spin-off. She was so fun to play with and would love her abilities and weapons flashed out with a game unique to her.

The next game should be called "Gotham City" and let you drive the Batmobile around all of Gotham.

Yeah, I'd like something less "isolated", more in touch with reality. Gotham would be cool because you would have plenty of "normal" interaction with "normal" people and then underground or in dark alleyways you'd find criminals lol.

I'd like this approach, it feels weird to just cut the arkham story right now with some villains still at large (ie the scarecrow) and I would like them to finish it off and then do whatever they like

I wish they whould make a game for a marvel character. For eaxmaple if they put in the polish that they did into the batman games a Ironman game by the same studio could be epic. Or a spiderman game done right by them salo would be epic.

Rocksteady finds an environment niche that they're amazing at and we already want them to change it up.

it was more focused on sneaking around in the shadows and less on dropping into a mob of people and beating the snot out of them? I also felt guns were a bigger threat in the first but thats just me.

What they should do is make a successor that adapts the whole of Gotham City and Batman Incorporated. Batman, Robin, Nightwing, etc are all playable characters. Batwing, batmobile, etc are available for transportation. Story plays out in "scenarios" rather than a contiguous plot, i.e. player is on "patrol" and gets a report through police chatter that Two-Face is robbing a bank, so they respond and have to figure out how to end the conflict without civilian death. That would be the game of the century if they could pull it off. As much as I loved Arkham City, they could take it one step further and make a game that works on procedurally generated missions that spawn randomly.

They heavily hinted at a sequel with the Watcher in the Wings sidequest and whatnot. Not only that but I have a feeling this will be a cheap trick to use the Joker again.

Unless they use a new voice talent, they won't. Mark Hammil said that was his last performance as the Joker because it ruins his throat.

Ok nevermind. Still. Prequels don't work too well in video games because with games you need to improve on previous ones and it begs the question "if this came before the other where was this awesome tool in the other?"

That's why they're choosing to do a different Batman and not just something that happened like a year before AA

It should definitely be a sequel, they release DLC set after the main game so they're obviously willing to continue the story. I'd prefer it not to be open world but there's no way they'll do that. I though the original was better than Arkham City.

It should definetly we a sequel. Based on the stuff side mission. The following are spoilers
Based on what the Watcher Azrael said about a new threat coming . All roads lead to the Black Glove. This was a group that tried numerous ways to kill Batman. Also Hush and Potential Scarecrow Involment leads to that also. As in the comics Hush and Scarecrow once worked together as Master and Mentor figure to hunt the Batman. Also Other Bat Family Characters were involved in the story arc and helped Batman in different ways. I would be surprised if Rocksteady didnt follow that arc. For more reference read the Batman RIP storyline as it goes more in depth
The above spoilers would introduce a new villain and can move on without the Joker.

I want a new story. Getting a little tired of the Joker tbh. I don't mind if some loose ends are left, because there should always be some unexplained mystery in Batman that can be explained later.

Hope Rocksteady never stop, what an incredible world they realise in game.

[someone correct me if i'm wrong] but i'm fairly certain some idiot like P Diddy has somehow got the rights to 'Gotham', which is why all the games use Arkham instead. How that was allowed to happen i do not know.

There's lots of hints that Scarecrow is coming back. A full game about him, with more mind breaking sequences, would be just brilliant. They could even steal a trick from Kane and Lynch (I know it sucks but hear me out :P) I was playing split screen co-op with my friend, he was the sane guy and I was the nutcase off his pills. On my screen, I saw cops with guns so started blasting them. On his screen, they were innocent civilians, and he was like WTF? Why are you murdering these innocents? It was a really great moment, using gameplay to show how messed up my character was. I'd love if Batman was similiarly tricked into fighting/even killing innocents by Scarecrow gas :)

But Batman won't do it, batman doesn't kill that is his weakness.

He would never intentionally. But if he's tricked/gassed into thinking he's fighting Bane or someone and punches full force, and it turns out to be some old man who dies from the ht... and then Batman freaks out from guilt and we get all sorts of wacky psychological torment and more messed up dream sequences... yes I would like that :P

Yeah that would be great, Scarecrow was my favourite villian after joker in AA and would like to see a game just about him vs batman.

Honestly I just hate Joker... Don't know why... I definitely prefer Scarecrow or even penguin.

This. I'm really not very stoked on the setting of a "silver age" prequel. But I'm excited for it as a game, because Rocksteady has more than proven themselves to be totally boss at making super hero games.

I'm not a Batman expert, but doesn't he maintain his sanity when exposed to Scarecrow's gas? Or at least, is able to break through it faster than others? Or even realize he is under the influence of it and fight against it? That's what the Scarecrow sequences in Asylum suggested to me. He was never "controllable" just hallucinating.

Yeah same as you, haven't read the comics or anything but it'd probably be a temporary thing that soon wears off. Just enough to mess him up and spend a game all tortured and self loathing and what not. Bit of vulnerability to THE BAT is always welcome!

Sequel. But that is not possible because they already used everyone you can fight, and it can't be Joker anymore for obvious reasons.

I think they should do a new Hero game. Maybe an X-Men one where you get to make your own character and choose his/her mutant power. It would be open world and you face oppression from the people, you get to choose how to interact with them.

You can choose to try and prove your worth through society and that you deserve equality through the way of the X-Men by trying to help society. Or you can try and seek revenge on the masses for treating you wrongly for being different by working with Magneto. You can either be hero or villian.

I think Rocksteady could do very well with something like that.

Nah. There's plenty of more enemies for Batman. Two Face definitly needs to become bigger, as he didn't get his due in Arkham City. And it's been hinted Hush will be the main bad in third game. And it would work really well in this context, as Hush's main deal was to get to Batman's enemies and tech them new tricks.

Which era is exactly silver age? I'm really new to the comic book scene of Batmna, I only started getting into it this past month, and I've been more focused on trying to get a hold of some new 52's. althoguh, Hush was a great read!!

Batman Beyond is one of the very few superhero shows about teen characters that doesn't make me cringe, assuming it does justice to the show and comics based on it I think it could be a damn fine game.

Sequel of course, both Arkham City and Arkham Asylum hinted heavily at other enemies and characters yet to appear, while Arkham City took it a step further by introducing hidden hints for a sequel premise involving Scarecrow and a certain person from Bruce Wayne's past.

Neither. Rocksteady's an amazingly talented developer and I want to see them tackle a new IP. They've said that super-hero games are really neglected and they'd like to focus on that, so hopefully that's what they'll continue to do as it has tremendous potential. And as much as I love Batman, we have two great games already and anything more would be pushing redundancy. I suppose I would be fine with one more, and if I had to choose it'd be a prequel.

I'd kill to see a darker-themed TMNT game that's closer to the comics than the cartoon using the AA and AC engine in an open-world setting. There was a rumor they were working on something but I believe they denied it unfortunately.
