Battlefield 1943 Kill Counts: 360 vs PS3

It has been a constant debate amongst fanboys: "Which console has the better online userbase?" With Sony and Microsoft sharing (highly inflated, you know it's true) numbers, it has been difficult to really tell which console has more online users and which users are online more often.

With the release of Battlefield 1943, the Coral Sea challenge is a competition between the Xbox 360 and PS3 that requires the community on a given platform to reach 43 million total kills online.

Xbox 360 - 14,174,757

PS3 - 8,142,547

Another thing that is interesting to note: Battlefield 1943 is an XBL Gold exclusive, meaning you have to be a paying subscriber to Xbox Live to download it. Free subscribers do not have access.

I knew the 360 version would have higher kill count, there are just more XBL users.

I can see it now, X360 had it a day earlier or all the little kids on X360 are giving up to many kills!

They game is alright, they really need to patch it though because the shooting dynamics is almost garbage.

We aren't included in this. We have no demo released for it so far. Not that I care, I am not paying a dime to play 1942 with prettier graphics and smaller online servers.

In that case they will have to impress me with the demo. 64 players is a minimum must and as for destructable environments, lets just say lots of games talk the talk but can't walk the walk.

Im not surprised barely any cows bought it. The game is 100% gameplay, there are no 2 hour cutscenes.

Remember with PSN they are free. I even have my own PSN account and I don't own a PS3. I made one on my brother's PS3. If you compare the number of PSN accounts to Gold XBL accounts then the number will be roughly the same.

Xbox 360 - 19,991,092

PS3 - 11,391,322

I cant wait for the PC version.

There's just way more active online users on XBL than PSN, so this and any other future contest would just not be fair.
