I don't think they allow kids under 14 to enter Gamescon, explains the line shortage.

Of course everbody wants to try out BF3. Everybody tried out MW3 back in 2007.

tho i do hope that MW3 will do bad this year so that their forced to add more to the series. if BF3 fans are serious then go for it and buy it! i'll get BF3 later on late this year

I'd be at the MW3 booth. No way I'll wait in line that long to try out some gameplay I've already seen before. The MW3 wouldn't have anything new either but at least I wouldn't have to wait. :P

EDIT: I think I read in a preview that MW3 is open to the public until tomorrow.

this makes sence to me, since the modern warfare series' fans are made up of pretty much just a bunch of casuals. casuals dont go to game conventions. battlefield on the otherhand has a much larger portion of hardcore gamers that are willing to go to game conventions.

Did you not see the Battlefield 3 pic where there are a ton of people just waiting in line? Core gamers are supporting their devs very well.

You guys must not be supporting Kotick's pockets enough. Keep getting the same game 4 years in a row with minor changes, same engine, same graphics, and no improvements. I guess that's because Activision just can't afford to improve it.

Even though BF fans deny it, sales do matter. Activision doesn't have to advertise their game a full year before its coming out because they know they have the monster fanbase that are going to support and buy the next CoD game. Like they have been doing in the millions since CoD4.
