There are people who solely played Battlefield for years and know the ins and outs of the game and are expecting the same experience from the next game. They simply don't care about how much games they will get but the only thing they want is a worthy replacer for Battlefield 2. It's typical console gamers match up games against eachother while it doesn''t have any revelance.

You seem to be the normal casual gamer who jumps from game to game to get the 'quick fix' while in Battlefield 2 you had to actually put effort, make clans, make up tactics to win. All those shooters in your list give instant gratification to the playes ( except for maybe BF3) and deliver fast paced action for short lapses of time where almost no skill is involved.

BF veterans are simpely not waiting for a shallow experience.

To bad Hardcore Battlefield fans don't care about those **** console centric games. They just want an epic BF experience just like BF2 and 2142. But that's to much asked in todays market with crap ports, linear crap games an console limitations.

DICE will not go PC exclusive anymore, they actually want to make money instead of getting pirated

Indeed. Bad Company 2 is great, but I want the scale of BF2 back. I'm going to be dissapointed if the game is hamstrung by consoles.

If the PC version was basically BF2 with better graphics and destructible environments(it's said to have it) I wouldn't mind.:oops:

It's too early to talk BF3 specifics. But it's never too early for me to acknowledge that PC players have a fear that BF3 will be "consolized." PC gaming is alive and well, BFBC2 has proven that and no one at DICE or EA can argue with the numbers. Battlefield 3 needs an extra bit of special attention on the PC. I intend to give it that attention, tradition and our community demand it.

So is BF3 going to be kind of like MAG? Is it going to be an online only game with huge maps that tons of people play at once on?

I have never played Battlefield 1&2, but I did play Bad Company 2-- are the games similar or are they completely different other than scale?

Cool, I can't wait until we see the Danger Close perk and One Man Army perk they'll probably be bringing in.

if anyones been paying attention to what DIce have been saying bout the game, they will get its not consolized.I mean cmon look at even that little teamwork stat thing on BC2 pc players done it first and consoles werent even half done the challenge lol.

It makes sense for the PC version to the best as

1.Its a normal numbered battlefield (its not a bc game so hermits dont get your knickers in a twist)

2.Remember BF2 has console offspring and we seen how dumbed down and basic it was

3.Consoles will most likely get a few things cut im betting commander wont make an appearance on consoles,and it will play more like BC2 on consoles in some ways and play like a real BF game on PC with all the bells and whistles like commander mode.

Altho even tho its now more likely i'll be buying on console due to space restrictions in my room,having to run a car,college and gigging i feel kinda bad for not getting it on PC but my life dictates it so and i aint stopping gigging for 1 game :P

I do remember how bad BF2 for consoles was, but that was before DICE had their taste of console sales! Regardless of what DICE say, I am going to remain a little worried about how BF3 will fair on pc until I see it.

Yeah Im sure there are bandwidth issues too, but I think its mainly down to hardware capabilities.

Its going to be funny once they reveal Bad Company 3 is Battlefield 3.

The only real Battlefield is a PC exclusive Battlefield. Console can't handle gigantic maps with 64 players. Yes I already hear MAG upcoming but that game is to basic compared to Battlefield 2 and doesn't give anywhere near as much as options and dynamic battles.

This thread is full of elitests. 64 players can be done on consoles.. ps3 has proven this.. (with a launch game no doubt Warhawk)

Console gamers should get everything PC gamers get... I don't care how "worthy" you think you are.

MAG has 264 spaced out on pretty large maps.. ground vehicles. AI controlled Air vehicles.

It could happen.. just keep the graphics a little bit down.. and itll be fine.
