I never said there wasn't a difference. That's just something you implied from what I said.
I specifically said at under 32 inches it becomes more difficult to see the differences between native and upscaled but at 50 inches it becomes much more noticeable. All about pixel density and relative viewspace of the screen from where the person is looking. Then there is also a lot to do with how good the upscaling is, is the game utilizing proper AA methods for upscaling, and then the quality of the screen.
There is a difference, but to the vast majority of console gamers it doesn't matter. It really shouldn't matter to you either as you'll never play on a console to begin with.
Console resolutions only matter to me in so much as they tend to elicit a chuckle. However, this is system wars. I believe the motto here is: make fun of other guy's system.... right? Maybe I'm in the PS4 forum by mistake...
