Consoles gonna console.
Oh and that looks terrible.
First the graphics & sales keep getting worst and worst, and now the FPS as well? Is nintendo walking backwards like a crab? Is that what we are doing now sheep? below 30 fps in 2014 is truly discusting if you ask me.
how are the sales going backwards?
cows cant say nothing about fps because all your games run like 30fps shit.
nintendo wii u is selling worst than wii. Thats is going backwards in sales. Also, most games run at 1080p @ 60 fps on PS4. The sheep will probably not see something like this until the next century.

so how does the wii relate to bayoneta 2 sales?
also most games on ps4 are 30fps...so talking about a game that higher fps than most of your games is just proving your asshurt day 1 outdated hardware.
What a waste of potential making this Wii U exclusive. Not to mention is going to sell like shit.
Because it would get SO MUCH better framerates on the other systems, right? Because it's not like the PS4 has games with uneven framerates. :roll:

Do some research buddy, then you will know why it's exclusive. The first one didn't sell that hot either and it was on two platforms. At least the game exists and those who are willing to get the system will get to enjoy the game.
Thats weird, I thought Platinum kept their games around the 60 fps mark? Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't MGR and W101 stick to 60 frames?
No both of those games had problems keeping their 60 fps target. The original Bayonetta on the 360 also had a frame rate that fluctuated from 40 to 60 FPS. This seems a little worse.

Everything sold worst than Wii. Even ps4 isn't keeping up the sales to match the Wii. Wii was a juggernaut. And most PS4 games don't run at 60 fps. Most of their first party stuff has frame drops and has lock at 30 fps options.
Like, I'm watching the video and I see that line moving up and down, but I seriously don't see it happening in the game. It's weird to me.
Youtube video. It is capped at 30fps, so you only see the change when it drops below that in the rare case.
Seems like Platinum threw everything they had at their engine. Considering they never managed to lock any of their games at 60fps, an average of 40 to 60 with all the effects, particles and moving geometry on screen is pretty good I'd say. Compare the game to Bayo1 and you see a clear step up in the visual department:
Bayonetta 1 (X360)=============================================
Bayonetta 2 (Wii U)=============================================
Bayonetta 1 (X360)=============================================
Bayonetta 2 (Wii U)=============================================
People calling this a PS2 looking game...please lol
Ps2 graphics + sub 60 fps. Wii U masterrace :P
You've clearly never seen a PS2 game before.
Indeed. Why do you have to insult PS2 games? Some of them look great!
I would rather they delay it until it is 60 fps.
This is Platinum Games. If they managed to free enough resources to bump it up to 60fps locked, they would probably use that extra juice to throw in 10 Godzilla sized monsters to fight you in the middle of a city-sized tornado instead :P

I was using wii u sales as an example of how bad this news about bayoneta 2 really is. Anygame coming out in 2014 that is supposed to be a "heavy hitter" or "console seller" according to the sheep that drops below 30 fps is just embarrasing to say the least. This is just another example that shows just how outdated the wiiu hardware really is.
Lol this guy

The game mostly runs from 40fps-60fps in that DF video. It only drops below 40fps a few times. It drops below 30fps once near the end of the DF video.Platinum does not care about optimizing their games usually and I don't think bayonetta's 2 small framerate issues are only caused by the strength of the WiiU's hardware.
From what I've read it dips to 30 briefly but the fps stays above 40 for most of the game.
But not constant 60fps? What garbage doesn't deserve to be on Nintendo! Wahwahwah.
-sincerely PS4 and Xbox One gamers who play sub 30fps games.
LMAO wow! You people are so picky. I can't believe this.
Most 60 fps games framerate rollercoast around 40 fps and 60 fps on consoles but it will still look smooth to the eye human. You won't notice shit. And at that one time, for like a mili second, it drops under 30 fps and THAT it's worth bashing the game for? -___- You won't notice it either.
No wonder people don't take gamers seriously. Keep it up guys. lol
God of War 3 framerate is most of the time around 40 fps (a lot worse than Bayonetta 2) but it always looked smooth and I've never notice any drop during my entire playthrough.
Judging from that video, it doesn't seem to be much of an issue at all. And the game looks fantastic!
Framerate dips are somewhat expected in a crazy game like this but sub 30 is pretty terrible. 60fps dropping to mid 40s or whatever would be fine but below 30fps, the gameplay starts being affected. Hopefully the final released game has only rare drops. Still gonna be a great game, but will be even greater with a silkier framrate :)
Because it would get SO MUCH better framerates on the other systems, right?
Yes, that IS right. How the **** do you STILL not understand that better hardware = better performance? After an entire gen of Wii's muck graphics, compared to the current beautiful HD glossiness of WiiU, I thought even you would finally understand that.
Doubt people buy Wii U games for their graphical marvel.
Graphical marvel is a combination of tech and art. The tech is competent enough to deliver good art so yes, some people might buy a Wii U because they find Mario Kart 8, Bayonetta, etc pretty

Yes, I did. Because it's utterly irrelevant to the part I quoted and responded to.

Framerate in exclusive titles is ultimately an artistic decision on the part of the development team. Platinum knew Bayo2 was gonna fluctuate between 40s and 60s (don't know were everyone is getting the constant sub 30fps dips) when they decided to add more stuff on screen, the same way Naughty Dog chose to have TLOU dip into the low 20fps for the sake of visual embellishment.
If you think this type of compromise won't happen on PS4 and XBOXONE you are in for some rough times. Don't take the performance of these launch games as an indication of future performance benchmarks. Bloodborn for example, currently has framerate issues too.
If this bothers you stick to playing your games on a PC you have to upgrade every 10 months.

How? I'm sorry, but how is saying this...
"Because it's not like the PS4 has games with uneven framerates. :roll:"
...irrelevant to a discussion about framerates (and one that mentions other systems no less and how it would be magically better)?

I know this. I know that developers nearly always prioritise eye candy and sometimes even gameplay (:P) over framerate.
I was just pointing out how fucking dumb it is to pretend that it'd have the same performance problems on a much more powerful machine. It wouldn't, if all else was the same.
There's a reason PS2 games ported to PS3 all ran at 60fps: more power = better performance.
I know that there are PS4/Xbone games with performance problems. The exact same thing is true there: those games would run better on more powerful hardware. How is basic logic so fucking difficult for some people?
I do have a savage gaming PC for this gen's multiplats, thanks. The comment about about upgrading every 10 months is fucking dumb too, btw.
Le sigh. System Wars :P

Because the POINT is that if you port a game with performance problems to a system that's multiple times stronger, that game will run better. That other games on that platform run poorly is irrelevant.
To use an example you might be able to understand: many PS3 multiplats ran like shit. But that didn't stop PS2 ports from running in 1080P/60fps. Because despite running at much worse resolutions and framerates in their original PS2 forms, the extra power of PS3 allowed them to run perfectly. That Bayo 1 or Skyrim had constant framerate trouble on PS3 is COMPLETLY UNRELATED to that. See?
I mean, this is basic fucking stuff dude. Come on. Try and learn the basics: more power = better performance.

The tech means absolutely NOTHING if you don't prove yourself with it. The PS2 ports on PS3 were 60 fps because the devs of those ports WORKED at it. They didn't instantly run 60 fps with a snap of the developers fingers. Several old games (or games built with lower tech, ala No More Heroes), when ported to higher tech systems, had history of having lower framerates on the newer systems (Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask had some framerate problems on the GameCube in contrast to their N64 bretherin)
