Besides Certain RPG's, Is Everything PC Gets Console Ports ?

I mean with the exception of a few exclusive RPG's what do PC gamers get that hasn't been ported from a console ?, What do they have that they can call there own ?, especially that Crysis is now coming to PS3.

PC gamers are in here constantly bragging about there superior hardware and graphics, but they get most of their library from our consoles.

There are almost no developers left that start building games for PC, they, in fact save that format for last, and make the console versions first and port them to PC, it's only a rare few RPG's like World of Warcraft, Diablo 3, Starcraft 2, and other strategy or RPG titles that get to be PC exclusives.

The rest start on our so called " Inferior Consoles ".

So much for PC gaming.

cant wait for sc2, civ5 and maybe victoria 2. im hoping it comes out cheap, cause i usually like that type of game for about a month and for like 20 hours. so addicting, but grows old quick because i have to hit control + for time speed increase all the time XD but hearts of iron was awesome. needs better diplomacy though.

And of course we don't need to play them at all since you judged most of our exclusives as crap without even playing them, I'm sure you won't have any objections to us doing the same?

Witcher 2 is already confirmed for consoles, so there is really no RPG that is not coming to consoles

What they DO miss is adventures, like the stellar Whispered World, which thankfully can play on my stunning laptop :)

So if it doesnt have tons of commercials on tv that get all the middle school kids excited for it, or if it isnt part of the, get excited every month for the hot new console game cycle the media has most of you polarized into its not worth playing, even if its an amazing game? Also, Starcraft 2 will be played the world over in massive tournaments and loved by millions LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG after this years hot console hits are forgotten about. Id say for the 100 bucks for starcraft 2 and diablo 3, you would get many many more enjoyable years of gaming than this years entire console lineups put together.

Multiplats are not ported from consoles. The majority of multiplats developed in all the systems at the same time. Also a lot of multiplats are developed first to the pc.

Also don't forget that PC get the superior version in every multiplat.

And that's just one fairly slow year for the PC, 2010 will be much better.

Also...small niche obscure indie games is exactly what PC gaming was about during majority of 90s. You're just one of the people who only liked PC gaming when during first half of last decade, a period when it was filled with shallow mainstream blockbusters and all the hardcore genres were being close to extinct. You're propably one of those people who think PCgaming should be exactly like console gaming, only with better graphics. That's fine, you're entitled to such opinion. However there are plenty of pcgamers, especially older ones who love what's happening in PCgaming now and welcome the return of style that was dominating in 80s and first half of 90s with open arms

PC has the most developers supporting it (always has and always will for many reasons) and has the most exclusives every single year come out. On top of that, 99% of the multiplats come out on PC as well. Very few don't end up on PC. Even fighting games are on PC constantly.

I'm surprised people keep making these kinds of threads when all they do is get shutdown immediately. It's amusing.

The OP accused PC of being a cross platform dumping ground; when really that is truer of consoles. Consoles have a far higher cross platform to exclusive ratio than PC, as GameSpot's chart shows.

When you add that a good chunk of consoles big budget exclusives are only exclusive because the 1st party paid for them, consoles position is actually quite depressing. How can a popular and mass audience platform like consoles do so badly compared to one that keeps getting accused of dying?

It makes consoles look like all noise no show, what would they have if Sony and Microsoft wasn't constantly supporting their line-up? There wouldn't be a console exclusive Alan Wake, Gears of War, Halo, Fable, Heavy Rain, Uncharted, Killzone, The Last Guardian and who knows what else 1st/2nd party titles.

All they would have is what the industry chooses to release on the platform like with PC. Seeing how they cannot compare to number of A-AAA exclusive titles on PC 'with' all this financial support, I don't see them having very good chances when put under the same environment.

Anyone can pull the preference card, a Wii owner could pull the preference card with 360 and PS3.

When doing comparisons all you can really do is put preference aside and look at the facts; and the facts say PC has more A-AAA rated games.

on top of that, with a Bluetooth adapter, you can use the Wiimote, Sixaxis, Dualshock 3 and wireless 360 gamepads all on PC, with little effort.foxhound_fox
