just speaking of realistic graphics alone.
gonna say Beyond : Two Souls easily. considering it's ingame.
After that it's hard to say, i don't think Halo 4 or Last of Us were particularly ground breaking, granted they do look slightly better then their previous studios works. Or in the case of Halo 4, it looks quite a bit better then Halo : Reach.
God of War : Ascencion looked particularly good, but still i found the imagry to be more crisper. Really not that much better then God of War III.
The best looking games at the show however i think were easily Star Wars : 1313 followed by Watch_Dogs.
When you see SW:1313, and realize where the CGI story bit would be, is actually ingame engine - much like how Kojima Productions does their games with Metal Gear Solid. Pretty amazing stuff from Industial Light and Magic.
Watch_Dogs, there is nothing fundamentally different about it's mechanis that could not be replicated on current gen consoles. shooting, slow-mo, to al the things that characters cell phone was doing. If they squeezed into current gen, they would have to lower the graphical settings, how much? I'd dare wager, not that much.
But i am thinking SW1313 and WD are meant to be next gen and that both were being conspicous about what consoles they're coming to. they just said "coming to consoles" and did not specify. Those two being revealed here i think was a stealth-approach for showing next gen, and also an attempt to steal mindshare for when the next gen systems show up.
The best looking game on the WiiU i guess i'd say were PikMin 3 and Project P100. but as we all know there is nothing about those art styles or graphical fedility that cannot be recreated on current consoles.
