Best RPG this year is between Diablo 3 and Borderlands 2

The games in the poll barely constitute the term "RPG."

That being said, the best real RPG released this year is Guild Wars 2.

guildwars 2 is gonna yank the best online game of 2012 this year not questions asked. COD is finally boring to death thx to acti milking and PS3 and halo is a reject

Pretty damn sure Guild Wars 2, even if it can't compete with WoW in terms of staying power, will trample over both of those games in terms of playtime regardless, and I'm not even an MMO fan -- so the staying power argument is kind of invalid.

How the hell was Diablo 3 good? It was a recyled enviorment that you played up to 4 difficulties and being forced to go through normal on another character is not fun

The game reminds me of runescape where you have to grind for hours to progress

Anyway Xenoblade no question about it for me but in terms of games that worldwide came out this year borderlands I guess wins by default

Couldn't disagree more. For me it would be Guild Wars 2, and a case could be made for Dark Souls since that did come out this year for us.

ME3 had one of the most disappointing endings ever and single-handedly destroyed Bioware's reputation by forcing them to change the ending and compromise their artistic integrity. Mass Effect and Bioware are doomed forever :twisted:

ME3 ending wasnt changed, idiot. It was expanded upon, giving more information about what your final decision changed for the other characters in the game.

Dark Souls doesn't count, otherwise it would be the best. It already received it's glory shower last year.

I need to buy both of these.

Right now it would be between DIII and GW2 for me, but I need to play more GW2 and I am also buying Torchlight 2 and Borderlands 2, so there are a lot of possibilities.

I didn't play it enough to become a loser. I played for just enough time to realise that it wasn't worth MY time and thus quit before transforming into a grotesque mutant nerd.

Cause spending 2/7 on DIII or BL2 over GW2 makes you so cool.

GW2 is superior, and scored higher than both.
