Seriously though, depends on what kind of RPG you want. Tactical RPG, your better bet is PS3. Western RPG, the 360. JRPG, well... that is kinda a toss up depending really on your tastes.
360: Mass Effect Fable 2 Star Ocean Lost Odyssey PS3: Can't think of many that are out now. But if we are counting upcoming ones I could add to the 360 list too.

2012 is probably a good estimate. 2011 if we're lucky.
And yeah, the 360 takes it in terms of RPGs, but it's looking like things will be getting more even soon enough.

We'll probably end up getting a localized version of XIII in mid 2010, as the Japan release is supposed to be this winter. And the Versus team is currently helping with XIII development, so there's no way that they'll be coming out around the same time.

At the very least Disgaea 3 and Valkyria Chronicles. Ok, honestly I just don't know too much about PS3 RPG's. I haven't even heard of Disgaea 3 haha

you guys seem to think versus just started development last year or something.....these games have started since the days of ps2... each with their own team.....
360 takes RPGs. PS3 has valkyria chronicles (SRPG), Demon's Souls, and a lot of RPG's coming this year. also, both consoles have oblivion and fallout 3, which are in the top 5 RPG's of this gen list, IMO.
if your wondering why no news or release dates on Versus....dont expect much until 13 is released they dont want their own games competing against each other in sales....

Demon's Souls Valkyria Chronicles Folklore Disgaea 3 I'm positive i'm forgetting at least one or two. Yeah, Cross Edge and the upcoming remake of Tales of Vesparia. But honestly you hit a home run with those first two. ;)
I think someone should intervene. There are too many crappy titles being dropped in here. Lets speak quality only, shall we? (lol, this is just my opinion, really.) 360: Mass Effect, Lost Odyssey, Tales of Vesparia, and Star Ocean 4. I'd like to add that anyone who included Fable 2 or Blue Dragon failed. lol PS3: Valkyria Chronicles, Demon's Souls, and Folklore. I'd again like to add that PS3 will see the release of a much much more epic version of Tales of Vesparia this fall. It comes loaded with new characters and quests and what not plus twice the spoken dialogue. Oh, and anyone who mentioned Disgea or Cross Edge failed. :P That's just my opinion, though. For me its really hard and the real competition only stands with ME and LO vs VC and DS. Its a tought one, but I'll have to say PS3. I'm a sucker for Valkyria Chronicles. That's a game 360 RPG fans should start crying for. You really are missing out.
