The first Wii Sports was the most influental game of this generation. I fail to see your point.

Also Wii Sports Resort will feature a Jet Ski game straight from the makers of Wave Race, and the first 1:1 motion controlled sword fighting game of all time. Game is going to rawk.

Because he said that anywhere in his 10 word post right?

Anyway TC, why do you care? So long as games are able to sell enough to make profit and sustain the company, what does an extra 15 million mean?

If by July you mean June, and by Wii Sports Resort you mean The Sims 3, then I agree.

You do realise that the only reason Wii Sports sold so well was because it was bundled with the Wii right? What makes you think people are going to waste money on a stand-alone version? :P

It will never surpass Wii Play, and technically the first Wii Sports is the best selling game of all time.

No, its a colorful, playtoy for children to waste their time on. There was nothing influential about the tech-demo that was Wii-Sports.

Other than being the piece of software to drive the non-gamer movement, and expand the gaming market as we know it?

Wii Sports 1 came bundled with every wii system. Hence if you have a wii you should have a copy.

Hitler was influential. That didn't make the influence good. I don't like the "non-gamer movement". It's caused my grandmother to call me and ask me if she should buy a Wii for Wii Fit. :|

Shovelware is part of every generation. And 3rd parties are responsible for all of it.

Again 3rd parties fault.

wiimusic is not shovelware, its just bad. there is a difference between a bad game and shovelware

lair, haze = 'bad games'

big rigs, anubis = shovelware

Wii music is a first party game.

Wii music is not shovelware. The game had a large budget, and lengthy development period, by an AAA development team. None or which is seen in shovelware.A game that fails to live up to its hype is called a flop. Not shovelware.

No, it's not the third party's fault. :| Wii Play and Wii Music are both first party. Other developers also flock to the Wii and make poor games because they know they can make money that way - no matter what. It's lazy and damaging to the mindset of the people who make games. They should be keeping more then their pockets in mind. The Wii is not helping them to do this.

Nintendo deliberately made a console to appeal to a lot of people. They were successful, and now you see the results: Developers making quick cash-ins with money in mind, not the consumer. And for the record, Wii Music is garbage. It's not the absolute worst the Wii has to offer, but that's not saying a lot.

Anyway, my hands hurt from breaking your arguments in half. Enjoy Wii Sports.

Say what you want about Wii Music but it's not shovelware. Your only argument against Nintendo is that they made a console to appeal to a lot of people. That's a good thing. 3rd parties are at fault for using it as a cash in rather than creating a diverse library for consumers to enjoy.

[QUOTE="TheNextOrder"]

[QUOTE="NAPK1NS"] Nintendo deliberately made a console to appeal to a lot of people.

Enjoy Wii Sports.

lmao so you edited your post just to tell me you broke my arguments in half? You have yet to disprove a singleone of my arguments.

And you still have not provided solid evidence as to why Wii sports is influencial in the gaming scene, and why wii sports 2 will bury the PS3 and 360.

:|

Are you kidding me? Want evidence?

Wii is the fastest selling console of all time, and Wii Sports is the pack in game that is driving its sales. It started a movement of non-gamers that have been covered throughout the media since the Wii's release.

[QUOTE="TheNextOrder"]Wii play is an extra controller and Wii Music was a large budget game made by an AAA developer that did not live up to the hype. Niether are shovelware.

3rd parties are the only ones cranking out shovelware on the Wii. Of course it's their fault.

I really don't think the bolded even needs to be explained, its obvious. As for burying the PS3 and 360, yeah I agree with you, that is just stupid baseless logic.

Sales=/=Influance of the gaming industry.

I want to know how wii sports influances other games and their developers, because honestly I do not think the tiger woods team is taking tips from wii golf there pal.

'breaking your arguments in half'? lol

note to self: when losing an argument, claim that im tired of breaking their arguments in half and then leave.

gotta remember that....

Instead why don't you take of note of NextOrder's tactic? Ignore the points other people are making and repeat yourself over and over.

Ofcourse sales = influence. Wii Sports opened up a new market pretty much all on its own. That is the very definition of influence. What are you talking about?

You never contextualized when you said "Most influential game of the generation".
