Gray Matter easily. It's the only game this gen that actualy not only has great plot that keeps you guessing till the end, it also has by far the best writting this gen. Not to mention being the only game this generation with fully fleshed out psychologicaly realistic characters.
Didn't know it's out. I really want to buy this game. Anyway for me it's The WitcherGray Matter easily. MGS4, A genuine masterpiece.Skittles_McGeeYou're sarcasm is starting to irk me McGee! jk Umm I'll have to go with the Witcher, Alan Wake, Mass Effect 1 (to some extent) some other titles I can't think of ATM. Although not the best I do give some props to MGS Peace Walker. It was far beeter than the crap known as MGS4.
Nothing beats the epic-ness of NEED FOR SPEED's UNDER COVER Story.
It was beautifully written,i loved the characters, they had real emotion, real drama, real betrayal. The ending was so beautiful i almost cried. The bosses were executed very well.
.
 no,NFSU sucks...

I don't know what people see in this game. It was the typical Bioware storyline. Hero who can't do wrong gathers party and saves world from ancient evil.Mass Effect 1
PAL360
According to the official website, Gray Matter was released in Switzerland, Germany and Austria. I dont think it has been released elsewhere though. What Adrian said, made me very pumped up for the game.
Since I havent played it yet though I will say the Witcher has the best story this gen.
Its because MGS4 is the pinnacle of video game storytelling. Kojima's a legend ahead of his time. You just don't "get it".wow every person says ME or MGS4 lol.

You can narrow down every game like that, for example. The Witcher : Hero who can't do wrong has sex and gets his potions back. See how stupid that sounds? Now read your post again.Mass Effect 1

As much as I love ME1 it is your typical Bioware story and not so orginal Space Opera but I still love it.[QUOTE="SilverChimera"] Hey, isn't that what people call "cliche" in JRPG stories? Same thing applies for Mass Effect though.
It's always hard to pick a favorite (especially since I can't remember any right now *brainfart) but The Witcher was quite good. Mass Effect 1 had a solid story that was well told and gave you a really awesome feeling towards the climax of the game, Mass Effect 2's story was weaker but it makes up for it with its brilliantly detailed characters. Metal Gear Solid 4's story wasn't anywhere as good as MGS3 but it was a nice final chapter to the series (Hurrrrrr nanomachines). SAGE_OF_FIRE
Huh I thought it was better overall, and I have to say Vulgan (idk how to spell it) was the worst character in MGS ever lol.

LOL.
Anyway, MGS 4, VC and TWEWY.
I would love to know how many people actually played MGS1-3 (beat them) then played 4 (and beat it) and think the MGS story line sucks. lol I bet not too many.
damn, if the stories of msg4 and mass effect 1/2 are the best of this generation, then there is definitely something wrong

And you have actually played and beaten MGS1-4? I doubt it.

I did find it to be crap, to each their own right?I have (including Peace walker) and it doesn't suck (I do think MGS4 was pretty bad though. But I do not find it as great as people make it out to be.I would love to know how many people actually played MGS1-3 (beat them) then played 4 (and beat it) and think the MGS story line sucks. lol I bet not too many.
