That is not true. Also you are making the assumption that the critique is not being considered. This is a reaction to a nothingburger.

But on Steam user reviews? At some point they just gotta let trolls be trolls. None of these posts on user reviews are going to result in anything constructive. They just come off as petty and kinda stalkerish here.

These are good replys. It helps give understanding to the developers intent. Gamers need to know they arent entitled to anything.

User reviews are dumb. They have little to no bearing on reality because of trolls. It’s also stupid for Xbox/Bethesda to waste any time “correcting” these “reviewers.” There’s nothing to gain by doing so.

I think Dead Space is an 8/10.

TCP is maybe a 6 or 7. Which is decent and almost a bit underrated tbh.

I guess I'm not understanding the outrage? Why are we mad? Bethesda is reaching out and responding to negative reviews? What part is shocking? I rarely see a product that doesn't have a creator response attached to a bad rating.

To be honest, I'm accustomed to developers making general statements or general posts, but hadn't recall them reaching out to users' reviews specifically being a standard thing. Now I know.

Now I'm wondering what other "triple-A video game maker" has been known to do this.

I have seen large developers take note of massive user response and then address it formally and as a whole, and usually with some mea culpa and promises to try to improve, but I'm not sure about directly responding in user reviews and even contradicting them.

I wasn't sure about Bethesda telling people they were wrong about their opinion, but I did read some of them and when one user called the exploration on desolate planets boring, they did say “Some of Starfield’s planets are meant to be empty by design—but that’s not boring.”

Anyway we'll see if this strategy works in Bethesda's favor. Maybe I missed it and other such devs have done this before and it did help.

No multi billion dollars company would be damage controlling negative reviews if their game was an actual 8/10🤷‍♂️They're feeling the heat, the game is not selling at all, and their plan to be profitable from selling Starfield for the next 10 years has epic failed within the first month of release. What a one n done game Starfield is.

@hardwenzen: Microsoft does not care about bad reviews they are helping players to enjoy the games. Starfiwld is free on Game Pass and they do not lose any thing if some one does not play it - it help them save the bandwidth too! Bethesda they just want to help players discover and enjoy!

I don't waste my time on shovelware its developer has to damage control how bad the game is to everyone who've played it.

I own it and have played it. Why would I need to damage control it? It's an awesome 85/100 game.
