1. It's already known that the ps3 version will not even be close to the PC

2. Thinking those shots are legit is laughable

the difference in those screens is huge. BF3 will be miles better looking visually on PC.

looks good on the ps3, can't wait to pick it up for it. I mean i could get it for the pc but it would be waay more fun playing with friends.

I guess my eyes aren't trained or whatever because I see very, very little differences between the screenshots.

PS not trying to start anything just saying I see no difference.

I've seen 720p youtube footage of BF3 on PS3, and I have a 1080p uncompressed video of PC. PC is way ahead.

I agree. I see a huge difference. First, the PC grabs on this thread are compressed and low res blown up to higher res. Actual gameplay would be far better than PS3s compressed textures and lack of lighting quality. PC way better than PS3 version.

Blurry shots don't do either version justice. And yes the PC version will look well ahead, what do you expect, 1080p is even a common native resolution.

Tired of medicore shooters that are cod clones yes(not to say cod is anything special itself) but I need a new awesome and addicting mp fps to entertain me for several months and battlefield 3 looks like it will fill that need quite nicely been to long since the last one great one shooters like that don't come out to often.

Doubt it. Once a genre is embraced it very rarely dies out. Only one I can think of is JRPGs, and thats only because WRPGs are so much better than them now.

The fact that their is a noticable difference in just those tiny compressed screens, imagine the difference full screen when one is running 1080p or higher and the other running 720p or lower!

Most of the PC shots here are 1366x768, some of the PS3 shots here are 1599x884. They were also from youtube videos. The comparison is pretty invalid.

You are refusing to see the point. If trivial differences exist at 480p(PC) vs 720p(PS3), expect some MASSIVE differences when the resolution in use becomes 1080p, 1200p, 1440p or 1600p. I haven't played a single PC game below 1680x1050 since 2006. Those are facts. Feel free to tell yourself whatever you want to make facts more blurry to yourself.

I haven't seen shots nearly as blurry on PC for all the time I've gamed on it. The OP used lower res screenshots and upsized their resolution.

Now this is a screenshot that's not taken out of a low res video or upsized. It's a screenshot at 1920x1080 res with proper AA applied.Before you start crying bullshots, I should remind you that bullshots do not appear on PC. If a PC shot appears, then it can always be achieved with the proper hardware and configurations.
