Vsync is for blurry textures and screen tearing happens only when framerates are higher than 60. That's the kind of stuff you hear around here from supposed elite hermits.

It's not them who manufacture the chips. They can only come up with stuff that can be manufactured in full scale and 20nm will happen around Q2 next year.

ive been a console player BUT i know that pc gaming has always been at a significant advantage. its just not right to compare consoles to PC. 

anyways, are there benchmarks released for teh 280x (im considering that for my first ever build).

Give me one of those screens that curves around you for $200-$300. That'd be just lovely 

Then I'd definitely try to upgrade to a PC that runs the latest games at that resolution.

3 1080p panels looks worse then a 4k screen.  What a waste just buy a 4k tv.

Who wants 3 breaks in there screen.

Now i need to buy a 4k monitor , a new card maybe and ask for a 4k resolution option in youtube in order to understand the difference !

Btw Ultra HD ( 4k ) gaming is the future , not doubt. We gonna see the next 2-3-4 years or so , 30" monitors with that analysis with affordable price tag . Now 4k is super expensive and also youll need a high end PC rig for that. In a few years that will be doable with mid range rigs as well.

And then we have consolites playing battlefeild 4 on 720p in order to have 60fps and they calling this console optimization !!

Hopefully it's competitively priced enough that it drives the price of the GTX 780 down, so i can get a second one :P

for the people saying they going to wait on Nvidia.  

Here are 4 reasons not to.

1) Nvidia are price gougers ... At best they going to price their cards at around the same price of the new amd line. 

2) everytime a new GPU comes out. Its always easy to say "OH THE NEXT SET OF GPUS FROM X COMPANY IS GOING TO BLOW THESE AWAY SO WAIT".  Essentially you will be waiting for a long time with that opinion. 

3) With AMD you are guarenteed that your gpu will be optimized for basically every multiplat going into this next generation. Whereas with Nvidia you always going to be worring about optimization.

4) If mantel picks up, Thats going to be alot of free juice for your GPU . Frostbite 3 is already supporting mantel and there are alot of good games coming out on Frostbite.  Im pretty sure Unreal Engine 4 and CryEngine are going to support mantel as well.   Chris Roberts was at the AMD event to show star citizen , and a staff member at crynet forums has said they will be considering mantel support .   

So to me, AMD looks like the shiz this gen.

It probably has something to do with the manufacturing process and the tooling required for 20nm.

Sony didn't increase PS4's GPU TDP to PC's levels. Name another GPU that would fit within the PS4's small box.

Daaaaayum, but Dirt 3? Runs well on almost anything. Monitors would be more expensive than the R9 290X.
