Big xbox360 exclusive cancelled next week

At the end of 1up yours podcast one of the hosts says that a rumor is that next week a big xbox360 exclusive will be cancelled. he did not say what it will be but its 90% confirmed to be true. also said that a big name from microsoft will be leaving the team. for those who don't believe me listen to the latest 1up yours podcast in the last 2 mins. what do u guys think will be the big game cancelled?

Probably not. The game being canned would probably be the "big name" from Microsoft leaving. I don't think Rare is leaving.

I doubt they will cancel HW for two reasons, first, it's halo, and that's a big deal, second, they seem to be pretty far along in production. Too Human won't be canceled, too much money has been poured into it, and it is also to far along in development. Banjo though, we haven't even heard anything about it for quite a while, so we have no idea what it's status is. I say it's the cancelled one, if this does turn out to be true.

You never know when games might be cancelled. Ultima Online 2 was cancelled when it was like 90% complete, and remember StarCraft: Ghost? The combination of ongoing litigation and the sub-par response to Too Human might be enough to kill it.

I don't know, but that seems very likely considering it's development history. It's been one set-back after another for SK, let's hope we finally get to play it after all this time.

I dunno. Whatever it is, Hopefully its something like banjo. That benefits everyone. It bennefits Cows because that is one less "bragging rights" game for the 360, and it bennefits the Lemmings because if they cancel it now, it's so early that no one really knew anything about it anyway, so .. you know.. peel the tape off quickly to minimize pain.. heh.

I am going to say it's Halo Wars or either Ninja Gaiden 2. Also with all these developers leaving M$ I wouldn't be surprised if after christmas M$ announces that they are leaving the console wars.-Renegade

They also 100% confirmed a few weeks back that the 40 gig PS3 would absolutly have B/C.

That's true, but that would be a rough blow to SK if they did cancel it after all this time. With the SC Ghost analogy though, maybe HW isn't meeting Microsoft's expectations for a Halo spinoff, and decided to can it like Blizzard did. That's a big maybe though, I'm still betting on Banjo, because of a lack of information.

I doubt they will cancel Banjo either, but of my options, that's the only one I can think of, which leads me to beleive that this rumor is false. Anyway, maybe Rare will make a new conker, or PD, who knows, they have plenty of franchises to work with, not just Banjo.
