Biggest Disappointment of 2010?

Personally I was disappointed the most by Medal of Honor, what about you guys?

GT5 and FF13 look to be epic fails this year....

GT has not even been out for a week yet and the GS review is not in so how can we already list this?

I was hoping FFXIV would be good but that didn't happen.

Nope :P. I would say out of that list it has to be MoH. That said I only played the demo. Then again it wasnt hyped too much either. So from what I have seen of GT5 maybe that? The thing that bothers me about GT5 is the lack of cock pit views on 800 cars. I dont want to play third person for a sim racer :evil:

I think its painfully clear that it will not be living up to the enormous hype... sorry. one review outlet isnt going to change that.TheEroica

GT5 sounds like a real bummer in some areas, but due to Zavvi and snow I haven't actually played it yet. I've already been disappointed by it though. This last week or so has been a string of disappointing news. And the PR and communication hasn't helped.
They built up this hype for it first so it sounded like it'd be the awesomest package ever but didn't bother giving any specifics.
"WEATHER EFFECTS AND TIME OF DAY TRANSITIONS" they would say, and then weather is only on 1/6th of the tracks and time on 1/14th.
That type of thing.

It has tough competition in Fable 3 though. That game is...I don't know what went wrong during development. It's like they were rushed during all stages of it because there are all kinds of problems that really shouldn't be there. Ranging from extremely poor performance and bugs to the whole endgame thing. I was frequently baffled by why I had to get so annoyed at it.

Double Post.

Game delays. A lot of games I was looking forward to in 2010 got pushed back to 2011. And while it means that 2011 for me will be awesome, it made 2010 that much more disappointing.

Final Fantasy gets my vote for sure! I would've traded it in but Gamestop would only give me $7 for it, so I decided to keep it for achievements alone. It just lacks the exploration of the previous installments. I also thought Nier was a tremendous disappointment, although I don'tthink it had as much following. So I could say Square was the biggest disappointment this year!

I have to agree with you , Medal Of Honor was the largest disappointment for me . I has high hopes for the game and it turned out to be the worst designed game I ever bought . Thank god my buddy at Game Stop gave me my money back . I predict Bargain bin for this game soon.

Red Dead Redemption.
I remember reading posts here claiming it to be the real GTA4 and stuff like that.

gt5 has been a massive drag since the moment i put it into the ps3.

does J-dev hate me? do they? they must since it is the only explanation i can come up with for why i'm sittng in menus for 10 mins trying to find a car that i can race in one of the few events that i qualify for.

it's silly and boring. why do i have to spend money i don't want to just to buy a car for one event and why does it take so much time to find them?

i called my buddy and said "dude wtf did you do to get out of the first series of races" and he said to grind the first 3 sets of races until i can get into the next set!

yeah! he said grind! i eventually did the license tests to lvl up since i hate grinding but still poor design is poor design.

had i bought this sucker instead of gameflyed it i would be ticked off, as it is i will give it another day or two and if things don't improve it's going back.

i know there is a good game in there someplace but tbo i don't think i have the tenacity and patience to dig through the outdated and time consuming J-dev design philosophy to find it.

i see many 360 fanboys choose gt5 lol ,

Someone didn't read the OP.

I honestly don't know why people thought Medal of Honor looked good in the first place.

I guess the only disappointment I've had was AVP. I still enjoyed it, but I was really hoping it to be more polished.
