Biggest Disappointment of 2010?

Backbreaker because I want a good alternative football game to Madden, even Blitz is better.

Red Dead Redemption was a hundred times the game GTA4 ever dreamed of being... period. GTA4 is the biggest dissapointment this entire generation. lousy, boring tech demo garbage... i could go on for days about how terrible that game was.

and i got good deals on nearly 80 percent of my purchases as i shop at pawnshops and such for many of my games only the new games you see , i paid 60-50 dollars or less-29 for who wants to be amilionaire wii

so ya um nothin i bought this year disappointed me one bit

well not games wise , console wise im sure having to replace a 9th n64 , hurts!

Medal of Honor, was thinking it was going to be so much more, But it's just nothing new, and it doesn't do its already conventional gameplay with anything that makes it better or even stand out from the crowd.

Not to say I didn't enjoy the game, it's fun, just dissapointing.

The beauty of opinion... I honestly cant see how you can say Red Dead wasnt a triumph in every way. It wasnt even hyped heavily yet it surpassed every expectation people had for it. Chinatown wars was better than GTA4 if im being honest.

My biggest issue with GTA4 was that it just,,, i dont know, wasnt fun! It was an absolute chore to play that game. Its obviously impressive to realize the scope and care that went into liberty city but as a game i couldnt have been more bored or frustrated with the way that game plays... I could sink a hundred hours into chinatown and still be entertained. Red dead was just so refined and flowing in my opinion.

I didn't think Fable 3 was all that bad...I went in with fairly low expectations and finished the game pleasantly surprised

It's also one of the most expensive gamesever in the history of gaming. It was touted by Cows to rival Crysis in graphics (something that of course within the laws of technology is impossible). All these years we were fed CGI clips and bull shots to keep our expectations sky high. Cows went on like broken records about how loussy Forza 3 looked in comparison to these bull shots.

And what happens when the game gets released??

It's a sloppy unfinished game with inconsistent graphics not even on par with Forza3. After all this I was expecting something extraordinary but was majorly let down.

The title says "Biggest Disappointment of 2010" not "Worst Game of 2010".

GT5 is not a bad game, it's actually a rather good game, well worth it's 8.6 at Metacritic.

But yes, worst of the bunch is FFXIII no doubts.

FF13 is the worst game i have played in my gaming life, it is the first game ever that there is nothing good about, not a single thing, and everything is terrible

FF14 is the only worst, but i dont play online, so i dont count it

In general, Square is dead to me, i will never even rent another game or FF from them

It's funny how so many people are bashing down games based entirely on what IGN (or whatever) says. "Lukewarm" reviews? As far as I can tell, GT5 is getting excellent reviews. I guess if you expected nothing but 10 star ratings across the board, you can call the responses "lukewarm". But really, play the damn games for yourself and decide what truly is the most disappointing game of the year for YOURSELF and not what others tell you.Nerd_Man

dissapointmen =/= bad

They could great games on their own merits but still be the biggest dissapointsments of the year. Since some games have a history of past instalments they expect them to improve on their formula. It also doesnt help their case when the developers promise so much and hype them through the roof.

Mafia II. I really thought there would be more to that game, but it really let me down.

Metroid Other M because it lacked the awesomeness of the Prime games, the refilling of missles and energy sucked as well as the story and the combat.

Either Alan Wake or Final Fantasy IV. A former PC developer hardly flopping in console and a former console developer flopping in PC market. Delicious.

GT 5 should've been a great game very close to a perfect 10 and more fun to play. That's a long time to develop a game and not make it near perfect.

Not really. Actually I think the game is pretty damn amazing. What shortcomings there are seem to be getting blown way out of proportion. People seem to think a long dev cycle should = the 2nd coming. Like you put the game into your PS3 and it transforms into any car of your choice or some ****. Your expectations have to be ridiculously, unrealistically high to consider the game the biggest disappointment of the year. Not to say I'm not seeing justified complaints. The game isn't perfect.

But when you simply evaluate the game on its own merits, the game is outstanding.

Also this is SW of course. One of the biggest exclusives of the gen just released. One that has been hyped on this board since before the PS3 even released. I would be more surprised if it wasn't winning this poll right now.
