Resistance 3 didnt flop it met its hype.... And for sales IDK game has been out for less than 6 months. And for flop of the year it has to be homefront considering all the advertisement I saw for the game. The game just didnt deliver, though tbh I was not expecting much.
I'm fairly sure R3 hit it's expected review score, and sales will do fine eventually. I'm pretty sure inFamous 2 is going to be talked about longer than any of those games listed (will duke it out with DA2).

it's the biggest flop in gaming history. IYO sure, in my eyes not a chance. Doom 3 for example was a lot more disappointing for me than DNF i'm sorry, but nothing could ever possibly beat 14 years of expectations, then doubt, then skyrocketed hype when it got back in the frame :P
Homefront most votes? Homefront sold a few million and didn't fail that much. Brink sucked. Hyped as the next TF, now suffers lag, bad matchmaking and gameplay.
If you expected DNF to be a good name in spite of the fact that they used 3 different engines and the game was sold to another company (who finally decided to purchase the failed company), then the jokes on you.
Since when has Bulletstorm been considered a flop? Admittedly I've yet to play the game, but apart from hearing it has lackluster online I've heard nothing but good things about it.

this. it's the biggest flop in gaming history. Wrong. Biggest flop ever goes to Too Human. At least the Duke fans liked Duke Nukem Forever. Sure it was only 9 years in development, but it was worked for 3 different consoles and didn't already have a character with mainstream success behind it. (Although neither game was buried in AZ(NM?), so I suppose ET still holds the line as the worst game ever.)
DA2 considering so many people adored Dragon Age Origins. The expectations were way too high and there was no way it could have lived up to its predecessor. I still think DA2 is a good game though.
I don't think Resistance 3 or Bulletstorm flopped. I think both games hit their hype and they've sold pretty well.
Flops this year include Dragon Age 2, Homefront, Brink, Killzone 3, Duke Nukem Forever. I'd say those five are up there. Even then, Killzone 3 while it flopped in reviews, ended up a better game than everything else on the list that I have here. So if you guys can think of a better, fifth flop let me know. But I don't think R3 or BS flopped.
How does Resistance 3 already get on this list. I'm going to say Killzone 3. Lower scores and sales than Killzone 2 even with KZ2 having the motion and heaviness the COD crowd complained about.
Final Fantasy XIV for PS3. Yeah that's right, it did not even come out. Too scared the poor beast. Maybe we'll get something good next year... right after versus.
