Here's the breakdown : A well known Xbox 360 user for quite some many years SW user "Kuu2" reported his new 360 slim had trouble in System Wars and his new 360 slim wasn't working. After being assaulted by many in the SW populace that wouldn't believe him, Kuu2 posted pictures and even made a video I believe at some point. Xbox fan and fellow SW poster Kuu2's machine was experiencing hardware failure, and his new 360 was only a days old.

You see, the 360 slim had just launched at this time in SW history, and while we know now that M$ actually physically removed the Red Ring Lights on the 360 slim, we also know hardware failure on the new 360 slims were replaced with a different color, green. :P

So, somehow, Kuu got some Internet Fame and his broken Slim pictures started appearing in other places all over the internet (Apparently this was big news), from his first posts in SW! :shock: What happened was eventually and what seemed like a week or some weeks later, another System Wars user posted the news of the broken 360 slim (Kuu2's) to the place the news originated at, System Wars. Except, this OP and Posters news source wasn't SW, but the picture of Kuu's broken 360 was from SW.

The cycle was hilarious.

Then, the thread took yet another turn into "The Hilarity ZoneTM" when an infamous and yet now banned System Wars User, ProjectNatalFan, caught wind of these pics and this thread, he wasn't pleased.Not pleased one iota, especially news of a 360 malfunction.

pnf immediately assumed the worst possible fanboy scenario, accusing Kuu2 of taking a heat source and deliberately breaking his new $300 Xbox 360 just so he could post pictures on System Wars, and gain Internet faim.

There was some pretty funny KeyWii and YoFoo stuff back in the day. I think that one where YoFoo's cousin came here and told us YoFoo was in a car crash, but then Later YoFoo was posting, lol.

The Twinblade Hitler/Einstien thing was funny, but I can't find that link. I think it was in 2005, plus to make matters more confusing, I think there is a new TwinBlade poster. The original Twinblade though, said it sometime in 2005-2006...maybe 2007, but I am pretty sure it was closer to 2005 as it was PS2/Xbox/GC System Wars back then. If anyone has a link, that would be great. :P

Is it OK to talk about users here? I guess Will is open to it: Will and Bioshock are different for the fact Will never conceals who his is or what he's about. That's what I've gathered; I got respect for that! And I don't think it's wrong for someone to like something more than another thing. I'm not a fan of excessive bashing / trolling, though (not saying you do that, Will).

PS2 v. GC battles were the height of hilarity and craziness. Einstein/Hitler, London, France, Pixel counting...now it seems that it's a parody of what it once was.

System Wars back in the day was AMAZING. It's now a shadow of it's former self.

I remember when Lemmings were so sure that Jade Empire was going to be AAAA. Especially after it scored a 9.9 at IGN. It flopped with an 8.4 here.

Cows also hyped Gran Turismo 4 to be AAAA. It ended getting being AA (8.9). On top of that, Forza outscored it.

The PSP vs DS debates were incredible. Reading those, you would have thought that every PSP had 30 dead pixels and a battery life of an hour. LOL, and Lumines was going to be the next Tetris. The PSP was also supposed to kill off the DS and make Nintendo 3rd party like Sega.

Twilight Princess flopping really marked the turning point for this board and Gamespot in general. All the cool people left.

God. There are so many moments, individual and faction based...It's why my favorite time in SW is during E3. The atmosphere is simply electric. So much anticipation...So much fail...

I was there and watched it unfold and I was just boggled that someone could make claim after claim mistake after mistake and take so much abuse but keep comming back and be a legitimate Cow..etc It just seemed more like the person was trying to give cows a bad name then legitimately trying to bring ownage or notice to lemmings.

System wars is the ultimate in guilty pleasure its a somewhat useless place filled with arguements based around luxury items but to a purpose so as to keep such problems and arguments outside of the rest of the forums. Even those posters whom have there own kind of fanboyism and come here to fight its why system wars was made you your self admitted you have posts that bash and the very nature of covering another system from others that bash with some of the same actions is the same thing, I'm personally offended when people do what you did act as though they are above it pot calling the kettle black and people living in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. Very snobish in my opinion.

If you are so well versed in how people act and what they are you wouldn't make the mistake of saying I act like bioshock simple blanket statements mean you wouldn't be surprised if all lemmings, cows..etc were just duplicate accounts for the same persons We all have moods and actions we commit and lines we do not cross making most of us unique individuals.

by the way system wars does function that way a good 95% of the time.

as I previously stated, I hold a neutral stance in regards to the products I enjoy and dislike. In Wii bashing threads I defend the Wii, in PS3 bashing threads I defend the PS3, in 360 bashing threads I defend the 360. I guess you can say that's where my guilty pleasure comes in (in opposing other peoples negative standpoints) but very rarely will you see me bashing a game or a system based on my opinion.

that's what I dislike about all forms of media, whether it's movies, music, videogames..etc.. It's annoying that people who refer to media they dislike as garbage - whether it's because they truly dislike it, or whether they're biased. Sure, that's their opinion...but there's a difference in saying "I don't like country music but I can see why other people do" and "country music is trash". It's those types of statements that I see as ignorant and I try to avoid and at the same time it's those types of peope who fuel a lot of the arguments on this board.

Before I replied to you, I dug through this whole thread, and I didn't see one link to it and I went to every link.

Check my sig, both links are pretty great. I particularly enjoy the uptight hermit getting owned when everyone informs him that the amazing BC2 footage he is flaunting is, in fact, the Xbox 360 version.

Also, I'm not calling any fanboy out in particular, but when a game is announced and becomes a huge deal, saying that its the only good game and that a sequel isn't getting made because the owners of the system that series is on won't buy good games is like the dumbest and greatest self ownage ever. It just solidifies you as a bona fide troll at that point.
