I bet if the original developer was still making the game and we had seen this very same footage, all these cynical comments would have been like, "OMFG THAT'S AMAZING OMGGG DAY1 LAWL."

Ok, lemme get this straight... You want the sequel to take place somewhere else than an underwater city? That's asking for too much, if so. The atmosphere is one of the things that made the original great, and I don't see why they would want to change it so much as making it take place elsewhere. It's like telling Mario to make his next game on a random tropical island instead of the Mushroom Kingdom....... Oh wait

it wouldnt make any sense in comparison to the original, thats why. it would be like making mgs4 take place in space just because the whole land thing got old after 3 games. i don't think so. look at it this way. bioshock borrows quite a few concepts from the ideas of Ayn Rand. in her book "Atlas Shrugged," they find a hidden valley that is virtually invisible to aircraft where they start a town, while the rest of the world spirals out of control. they could always do something like that. all it takes is a good writer :)
It looks okay. The only good thing about the first one was the atmosphere and sound effects. Everything else was meh to horrible.

then what games do you consider good?Well currently I'm loving Left 4 Dead, Street Fighter IV, Empire: Total War, and I'm replaying Pokemon Pearl. but just because you love them doesnt mean they are good games. if you ask me, i find left 4 dead to be a not so great game due to the lack of content, im more of a fan of soul caliber 4 than sf4, empire total war is not nearly as good as the previous two installations in the total war series, and the pokemon series is one of the biggest rehash series of all time besides ea sports games.

take two is will fund bioshock dev's to complete this piece of trash game but they will not fund duke nukem forever legendary devs? screw them do not support this crappy publiser. bioshock is seriously one of the worst fps i ever played seriously. the theme is dorky as hell, the level design is trash animations/gunplay is trash. the levels have no cool puzzles or interactivity like duke nukem or secret area's. on duke you can go anywhere on the level, anywhere you can see you can go bioshock is linear piece of crap game, invisible barriers everywhere lacks explorationsbioshockblowass

The ocean will be a linear section that is slow for pacing purposes. Or so has said the developer. Bah. I wen't from being pretty impressed by Bioshock 2, to pretty cynical. The lack of Bioshocks lead designer has that effect, as has the underwhelming elements of the second that have been shown.
