"While the Xbox 360 version is the more popular of the two in the U.S., BioShock on PC nevertheless manages to make a strong overall sales impression that few PC titles manage to achieve. Interestingly, though, the PC port outsells both the regular and limited Xbox 360 editions in Europe, where BioShock's PC version emerges as the week's biggest-selling software title on any platform."

Where did he say that Europe is a country? I don't recall him specifically stating "The country of Europe doesn't interest me" anywhere. "I live in America, not Europe" and "There's no ownage to something that happens in another country" are both independant clauses. Trust me, I got an A in AP English and Composition. I know what I'm talking about.

Isn't "so" a conjunction thus joining both clauses?

"So" is a clause, but the sentence requires you to read between the lines, so to speak. I'll give you a sililar example to what he said. Pretend we're having a discussion on the sales of pancakes vs. waffles. Someone says that waffles outsold pancakes at Waffle House. I say "So? I go to IHOP, not waffle house, sowhy should I care what happens at other restuarants"? Just like Europe contains many countries, the category "restuarants" includes IHOP.

You spelled similar wrong!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMGZZZZ!!!!!!!!!!!!! You also failed to mention all of the punctuation errors in his post.

how is that in anyway ownage? A lot of people bought a great game...

to the TC and several other people here....who seemed to be assured that since the PC version "wasnt selling" then it becomes a 360 exclusive.

i find those numbers hard to believe. I live in Scandinavia, Bioshock was released on friday, so those "weekly numbers" are from Friday, Saturday and Monday? What`s the deal here? And BTW, where is the numbers? I can`t find any numbers in the article.

I fixed the "similar" error, thanks for pointing it out. Anyway, I understand that on online forums, people make mistakes on punctuation on accident, so it doesn't bother me. However, you guys were accusing him of calling Europe a country, which he clearly didn't do. I was just standing up for him in his defense.

Both of us can be correct. While yours makes sense, so does mine. My example would be, "I'm from Ballyvourney, not Dublin, so why should I care what happens in other villages". While Ballyvourney is indeed a village (where I live I might add), Dublin is a city. Just like America is a country, Europe is a continent. Also, he punctuated it incorrectly as "so" should come after a comma. :P "So" is indeed a conjunction I might add. Where I would stand on his statement is "so" joins both clauses thus continuing his train of thought. Anyway, this subject bores me.

On-topic, it's great to see BioShock selling so well.

[QUOTE="jdang307"]People with PCs are waiting for torrents.cobrax25

read back a few pages....as it turns out...the PC version is outselling the 360 version in Europe.

funny thing, ther pc retail version outsold 360 one, so that means steam was also not included in europe's count. also, it seems a lot of people bought the game on steam as i heard somewhere steam went down for sometime becuase of the traffic

Europe is a very large market...and one of the fastest growing...a lot of games (especially on the PC) are being released in Europe before they are in the US.

sorry but without a number and a link you will not convince me 360 is the monney cow and the truth is the similarity betwen 360 and pc will save pc gaming of a painfull death and be aware hermitin the futuremaybe 90% of game on pc will be 360 port and you will enjoy it.

How's that feel, lemmings? :D

question? outsold by what marge because the 360 in america realy destroy it and europe pc gamming represent what percentage of bioshock overall sale compare to overall 360 sale of bioshock ?

Europe is a very large market...and one of the fastest growing...a lot of games (especially on the PC) are being released in Europe before they are in the US.

sorry but without a number and a link you will not convince me 360 is the monney cow and the truth is the similarity betwen 360 and pc will save pc gaming of a painfull death and be aware hermitin the futuremaybe 90% of game on pc will be 360 port and you will enjoy it.

population of USA + Canada is 330million.

population of EU is 450million.

population of Japan is 128million.

NA is the largest gaming markets- afterall they are on average richer than Europe & consoles & games are cheaper there= more sales- but EU is certainly coming along.

So the PS3 can't even beat the 360 in July sales, not even with a $100 price drop! Now the 360 has even more awesome games coming out, has its own price drop, and is about to drop the nuke with Halo 3. Bye bye PS3!

the reason you dont see a lot of PC games at Ebgames is because PC games cant be returned, or rented....which EB games makes a significantly large profit on.

Probably that's why I couldn't buy X360 version for 6 days straight while PC version collects dust on shelves since day one - because PC version outsold X360 version. LOL

apparently not if the PC version outsells the 360 version....

and honestly...you have no idea what you are talking...console gaming doesnt even exist in Germany, Central, and Eastern Europe because its so much more expensive there.

there is a huge eastern european publishers that publishes dozens of games per year....none of which are console games.

thats not the way it works in Europe...from what numerous people have told me....not only are the physical consoles cost a lot more there....but games themselves can cost nearly twice as much....

and stop making stuff up....the game can be maxed with a 8600GT....a $150 card.

but the video card is only one part of the puzzle and for the game i know its a lot cheaper with all the pirated copie in circulation.

Why does the sales of game have to turn into a way to spank the pc? Chance are only 20% of the pc's out there can begin to run the game, and from that, mabe half can run it well.

My pc can run it but the framerate is all over the map when trying the demo, so I purchased the 360 version. A great game is getting the sales it deserves and that's all that metters.
