[QUOTE="Gxgear"][QUOTE="sonicthemegaman"] The demo is essentially a preview of the game. I played that so I can have an opinion on the demo at least.sonicthemegaman
Opinions of DEMO that way please. Not here.
Well damn, why do you care that much? I figured that if anything in the demo was different from the full game, I'd learn that here. I at least tried to give it a chance and I never said it sucked. You shouldn't be so uptight about it.I'm not uptight about. You're just chiming in and it misleads people into thinking you actually played the game and perhaps foolishly take your word for it.

Hence, why I said "at least that's how the demo felt".[QUOTE="Gxgear"][QUOTE="sonicthemegaman"] Well damn, why do you care that much? All I can say is... what a bad demo! The demo just makes the game out to be a totally linear, dull FPS.
If you actually play the full game, you will discover that it is way more deep. When you understand the mechanics of the game and what you have to do to actually be good at it, this is when the game gets fun. Sometimes you have to stick with something before you like it. It's a shame this didn't come through at all in the demo.
One of the better games I`ve played in my years of gaming, I really enjoyed it to be quite honest, oh well I`m sure theres games you love that I will not like too, such is human preference.
It's a good game but could have been far better if they'd gone all the way with the depth like in System Shock 2. As it is it's far too shallow with no invectory, far to action oriented from over abundant ammo and being able to carry every gun at once with them never breaking or degrading, simplistic skill based hacking and research. It's like they started making a sucessor to System Shock and then decided halfway through that gamers aren't smart enough for these kinds of things anymore they just want endless explosions.
STORY
IMMERSION
INOVATION
TECHNICAL ACHIVEMENT (in 2007 was amzingly pretty and stable with working Dx10)
Is in my book almost as good as half-life 2 in terms of artistic achievement at the time, but less accessible since to appreciate the story requires the person to be more cultured, intelligent and critical than most.
Okay, I have a buddy, his name is Jordan. He wouldn't stop shoving his love of Bioshock down my throat. Now some people have called Bioshock one of the best games ever.
Personally, I was not impressed. Seriously whats so good about it. =/

Well let's start with "what did you dislike about it?"

There ya go sonicthemegaman, should take a page from this guy's book.
Aren't hacks very annoying to you? What would happen if you can't figure out the hack faster? Do you get another chance in doing so? Plus is there a way to slow down the speed of the hack? I don't know about you, but I think that it gets pretty annoying from what I heard.
Sorry, I'm just new to it.
The time is just enough to hack, even at the beginning, the more you near the end the less difficult you find it to do...When you hack safes it's a lot more limited, and it makes sense to make it more challenging. Plus there are ways to slow down the flow of the water...And hacking generally speaking throughout the course of the game isn't the most worrying thing to do.Aren't hacks very annoying to you? Yeah I really wasn't a fan. The gun gameplay was just so bad/ unsatisfying. Sure the plasmids were cool but they got kind of boring

Well if anything, I can definitely say that a good demo makes better impressions. As long as you do your research, a demo can't really trick you into buying a game either. I guess what I'm saying that Bioshock would have benefited from a better demo. As far as me playing the full game, I can't say I feel the need to. I already don't like FPS games. I just wanted to see what the hype was about. Besides, I find demos to be a great way of deciding what games interest you. That "give it a chance" stuff in regards to the full game doesn't matter too much unless your debating on wither or not it's good or something. There are other games I need to try out. Please Log In to post.
