[QUOTE="Eltormo"]So you mean to tell me that after halo's 2nd spot the most played game on live the 3rd spot just get 13,000 players.? Dude 13,000 players get Warhawk on PS3 and it did not sell even close to COD 4 and COD 5,but just so you know the PS3 version of MW2 gets between 250,000 to 300,000 players daily, knowing that MW2 on 360 has a bigger community than the PS3 version is safe to say MW2 on 360 could be getting half a million players at peak hours or more which mean it quite crush Halo 3 100,000,but i don't think that COD 4 and COD 5 get just 13,000 players that would mean that most of the games behind it have incredible low communities numbers if th drop is so huge.
Also COD 4 beat Halo 3 many times for most played game on live,COD 5 also did the same and MW2 as well, don't tell me they did not beat Halo 3 number many times because you can find that easy on the net, considering how nothing was even close to Halo 2 number on the original xbox is easy to see MW games are now more popular.
vashkey
Like I said, Halo 3 is a three year old game. Beating it doesn't mean much. And World at War and COD4 did, early in their live, beat Halo on some weeks, but as always, Halo 3 prevailed. It has a more dedicated community. And I said at any given time of the day these games will see these number players. That does not mean during the entire day. You can see how many players log on in the entire day for Halo 3 on the bungie website and in the past 24 hours Halo 3 has seen over seven hundred thousand players. Thats pretty impressive considering it's age. And it is a fact that Halo 3 was the most played game on Live for the years of 2007, 2008 and 2009.

Considering the huge amount of hype behind Call of Duty and the fact there six of them available on the 360 it'd be pretty sad if there weren't a good amount of them on the charts. It's no surprise.
COD 4 is a 3 year ol game as well, also that stat is for the year not for the week, which many times COD 4 beat Halo as well as Wolrd at ward,MW2 has months on the top,so it would be interesting to see if MS is just playing with number or calling it like it is,because Halo Reach will has just a few month before the years end and Halo 3 has been owned fore months by MW2,and since you claim it get 100,000 player or so even MW2 on PS3 get 3 times that,so i say it is safe to assume MW2 on 360 get like 5 times that, and has 2 other games on the top 5 which again prove my point COD games are more popular than Halo is now on 360.

Just a few month after both were release.

September 1.

Again in september 15 2008 COD was still on top.
http://majornelson.com/archive/2008/09/30/live-activity-for-week-of-september-22nd.aspx
It wasn't until september 22 that Halo was back on top, after more than a month of been second.
In fact from MS own data i don't even know how in hell they came to the notion that Halo was the most played game on live for 2008,in fact COD 4 dominated since january to almost the end of July 2008,then Halo dominated like for 2 week and COD 4 dominated from early August intil september 22 2008 more than a month again,on the 27 of october COD 4 was back on top,i put that since i can't find any other live data for the weeks of early october 2008,but with the data that is known here already is easy to see COD 4 was on top of the xbox live chart much more time that Halo 3 was,yet some how Halo 3 beat it as the most played.?

As you can see close to its release also COD WAW also came on top.
I would not make another list, but it is easy to see that COD 4 was more played than Halo 3 n 2008,and both game are from 2007 in fact Halo release in september COD 4 on november just 2 month apart.
I think is save to asume MS did like always play with the numbers here, after all this is MS own data not and something made up by some site.
