That's cool if Sony is publishing the game on PC. They have published games on PC before. The more people to play it, the better.

The number of PC games not available on console are larger by order of magnitude, over the number of games available on console but not on PC.

There's a crapload of excellent PC titles that have never made their way to any of the consoles too.

Fact is, that pointing to a handful of games that are only on a console and proclaiming victory against PC is absurd when the amount of PC games that don't make it to console is staggering by comparison.

Beyond that, the PC already has 99% of the games that are available on PS4/Xbone, in better form. You can call it shovel ware all day, but when the platform carries nearly all of the games of your preferred platform (again, in better form) as well as thousands of games that aren't on your platform, you come off looking foolish. It's something that only a deluded fanboy could say with a straight face.

Also, how can you say most of PC gaming is just shovelware, but turn around in the same statement and say it's worth owning? That makes no fucking sense bro. You can't just fanboy out like that and immediately save face lol.

@rollermint: Battle for Mordor (rts) is literally my favorite game series, I say that despite it being an EA game, and I have more games on pc than I likely ever will on sony consoles unless I get sony vr and the games are massively cheap.

The PC as a platform is not in direct competition with the consoles. There would be a substantial market for the game on PC, just look at how well the Dark Souls games were received by the PC community. Hell, you can still find hundreds of people online in the original Dark Souls.

However, this is definitely one of those "we grabbed the wrong image" mistakes. Sony isn't stupid enough to give people who game on both consoles and PC's no reason not to buy their platform.

Provide that pc that can beat the ps4 for 400 dollars, also considering it's 300 dollars for a ps4 now, that's not impressive. You can match a ps4 hardware wise for like 400 dollars but the games will not be optimized due to the variances in pc hardware, therefore you get a worse experience.

Provide the build that beats ps4, you can't.

Why? A PC have additional capabilities that justifies the higher price. For example, socializing here in GS via the Internet. No need to buy a separate non-gaming PC/laptop/tablet like I would have to do if all I owned was a console.

@jereb31: If you have something that has similar hardware + are being weighed down by other software + games aren't optimized for the hardware, you will get a worse experience, this is objective.

The "ps4 killer" costs more than a ps4 substantially, heck just 3/7 of the parts (the other 4) don't even have prices at all. Then you factor in that you don't have a monitor for the computer.

So what you have there is something that costs substantially more than a ps4, not going to bother with the rest since you already failed with the one that is supposed to specifically target the ps4. It costs more than the ps4 by a large chunk even when you don't include the things you listed at the end of a monitor. That's not a ps4 killer, that's simply throwing more money at the problem to get a better product.

Why bother when DS3 is coming, hell just play DS1 or 2 to get your fix.

Part of being a gamer is being here in GS discussing all things games. When my kid was still gaming on the Wii and PS3, she'd have her laptop along, keeping in touch with her friends while gaming. On the PC, it's a simple Alt-Tab away. Now that she has her own gaming PC, she can multitask without looking silly.
