Borderlands Gamespot Review - PS3 - 8 360 - 8.5

it's pretty fun. got to level 8 last night. solo play... but there's enough rpg in there that it's gonna feel weird playing with people a bit :lol: to be more clear, I haven't played enough to form a real opinion. I'm tentatively very much enjoying myself if they can keep up the RPG (and even ramp it up a bit as the game continues). Also, the little robot is like Navi, and I want to kill him to little pieces.Jandurin

You bought this eh? Im kind of surprised. But listening to the hotspot last night, they compared it to Phantasy Star Online. Whiiiich really makes me want to buy it.

Also, why is the review of this game hidden??

Good score and exactly what I suspected it would get....other than the .5 difference of course.

of course you agree, thats because you support the PS3. If this was the other way around you would be singing another tune. The bottom line is, you are talking about a patch once again. The multiplayer will never be up to par with the 360. GS review is in 8.5 for the 360, 8.0 for the PS3.

It's not bad developers it's clear they made a solid game here, but in all honesty. They should make sure these problems aren't apparent before the walk the game out the door. It's not bad developers, it's "negligent developers"Animal-Mother

Just another example of PSN lagging behind XBL in online gaming. Its a shame really. Oh well, I wouldve bought it on 360 or PC first anyway.

It said the PS3 was suffering with some online stuff. Not a problem for me, I always get most multiplats for the 360. This game is awesome.

I don't know. I think multiplayer is what really elevates this game from just really fun to super crazy fun, and I think xbox live is the perfect way to play it online.

Or I might just be bitter about PC online gaming because of how hard it is to find a game on OpFlash 2 with less than 200 ping. Bah.

Gamespot is losing me with these reviews. Like with 2K10 and borderlands. I guess they think they are getting waayy to good for gaming.

Scott Velasquez (a Gearbox Software Engineer) has posted the following in the Gearbox Community thread on this issue:

Update on the North American PS3 Friends Interface issue:

We've identified the problem and are working on a fix.
Believe it or not, the friends feature was heavily tested by Gearbox and 2K. However, this particular issue we found could have never manifested itself in our or 2K's test environments.

We'll find out very soon if the issue exists for the PS3 International versions of the Borderlands. If it does, we'll hopefully have a fix implemented before it affects those customers.

We are doing everything we can to get this problem addressed as quickly as possible. Thanks to everybody who provided us with tons of information.

PSN doesnt suck mate. And how does the amount of players in a game show that PSN sucks? PSN is great, and the fault for this game was the developers. PC and xbox live haver their fair share of multiplayer errors. Which makes xbox live worthless if your paying for it.
