I will buy this game the second it drops to 800points ($10)...it is rediculously priced. I wish XBox Live was like PSN, where I could DL it if a friend DL'ed it.
The Demo was okay.
I heard it's coming to PSN next year, hopefully it will only be $10.
Sorry to hear he won't be making much if anything at all, but you can't start at the top in the gaming industry.
Ah well.

you need to put something in the topic of your own opinion. But ya XBLA is overly restrictive with size.whackedjob213
Well, it's all DUE TO THE LACK OF HDD. M$ want's to sell these games to Memory card holders...It's a shame too. That's why games like Warhawk, SOCOM, and Ratchet:Booty aren't on XBLA (Games of that size...I know those are 1st party games). The lack of HDD's, and the fact that there are FAR too many 20gigs out there.

Yeah...that's been common knowledge for quite some time...lol
I loooooove that. I bought Siren the other day and I got about $60 in return of stuff from somebody(on another forum, unfortunately we can't trade info here) for it and I can still share it 4 more times. Yeah, that's what's holding SSFII HD from being released isn't it? I mean that was supposed to be out a LONG time ago and yet no sign other than a beta? Does a game like that really need a beta?

Oops. Typo. I meant 800points ($10). I think 1200points $15 is asking far too much, especially after playing that demo. Iknew it was $15, I just messed up that post, lol.

And the fact XBL's abysmal servers are already being strained with hundreds of 200 mb mini-games downloaded every second. Lawl.[QUOTE="SolidTy"]I loooooove that. Yeah, typo. I meant $10. It's overpriced considering the demo I played. Good game, but no reason to make a quick $5 like that.

The demo is not indicative of the game. Braid is worth much more than $15.You hear this from alot of small devs but they keep going back.wooooodepeople are mad it takes effort to get a game certified.
IMO, more games need to be screened. because there's a lot of garbage out there.
[QUOTE="Broman6015"]Off topic but was it confirmed that Braid would be going to either PC or PS3?Dreams-VisionsNO.Yes it was.
They had him sign an exclusive contract to keep the game on live. lmfao, obviously it will be coming to PSN. A man of his caliber cannot be satisfied with a mediocre digital distribution service, unfortunately.1.) The game is still on Live.
2.) He has no plans to put it anywhere else.
deal with it.

It's $5 more than than the price you'd instantly buy it at... Five dollars. Ridiculously priced. $5. $15 total.
I'd like to pay the developer for creating the game though, not the publisher. If a game as successful as Braid might not break even we've got a problem.

having consistent standards is one of the things that has made the Live experience uniform and enjoyable. Compare with the palpable lack of uniformity on PSN/PS3 and we see why it remains the best.
as has been said, devs can complain that they don't want to code a leaderboard etc, but we ALL benefit when they demand it.

Deal with it little guy....Why should you get any shortcuts though the process...Because your the small/new guy...Must be nice to have the entitlement...
You put out a awesome game... on the largest service and you are worried you are not going to make enough cash..?..

He makes several mentions in numerous posts in his blog.
totally agree. MS likes certain features to be uniform throughout their games. because lack of those things affects their customers. I appreciate MS demanding certain things because it makes MY experience more consistent. I'm sure for Braid 2, he won't have to worry about some things because he'll already have code that he can borrow from."He goes on to say that the restrictions really inhibit the small games designers in their efforts to put out titles, as the restrictions seem to be geared towards the bigger developers.

Good arguement, I admit. But you fail to see the PS3 is consistent in quality games, both PSN wise and normal retail games. Meanwhilst, XBL recieves a pleuthora of vapourware. Is that type of consistency really a good thing? Welp, it is uniformity, but I dont know...Developer made a bad business decision..... how are teh Lemmings owned, exactly? Are they owned because they get to play a great game? Are they owned because it's exclusive to their console?
It's funny, because I bought the game, played it, beat it and enjoyed it..... funny how I don't feel like I was owned because the developer didn't make as much money as he wanted..... weird, huh?

Even though the PSN is more consistent in terms of quality titles, the XBLA still has more quality titles than the PSN, despite the amount of shovelware that's released on the service.

Umm...no it wasn't. Hinting at a possible PS3 version is far from an official confirmation...
"tlbho"? My god I haven't heard that phrase in a while. Ban dodger confirmed...munu9
I was wondering when someone would notice something wasn't right. Only someone from way back then would use that old phrase. As for the old account...
I'm surprised that I even remember someone that far back.
didnt MS up the memory limit to its arcade games to 250mb or so now? i ask this because Braid file size is only 144 so their is deff room for more. if he really wanted to, he could have just delayed its release and add more to it. the new Bionic game that came out today pushes over 200mbMerek16
For all his complaining about, "I could have made it better" he didn't delay it. There are tons of XBLA games that get delayed. Its not like disc are getting pressed. If he wanted to make it better there was nothing stopping him outside of laziness.Senor_Kami
You guys make a good point..
The only thing I can see is if 1) MS said get it done and forced a release...and/or 2) sounds like cash could have been a driving factor and a delay would only cost them more money in development..
If it is #1..I do feel what they guy is saying..
IF it is #2..Don't blame it on the service..The developer had to know well in advance that these requirements are mandatory..I cant see it being a "all of the sudden shock"..and now he has to take a hit on his bottom line

Okay. Here's the thing, $10 is too much, but I am willing to pay that. Especially since M$ nickel and dimes everyone by selling the cards in only $20, or $50 dollar packages at retail (Online buying is even worse.)
So, I have 1600 points, If I buy this game for 1200 points, that leaves me with 400 points I don't want. That meanst I can't buy any other games, like Bionic Commando, UNLESS I invest another $20 for another card. See the pattern.See why People buy Pics and Themes? It's a joke, and one I control by purchasing in 800point increments.
You know better than to ask this, this has been a problem with XBLA since the beginning. "Teh point system."

Why is he complaining so much about xbox live? Despite it's complications people are now buying his game up in droves at 15 bucks, regardless of it's length.Vaasman
And he's not making any money off of it...
seems like a pretty interesting game. Never heard of it till this thread. It looks creative but as for how good of game it really it I can't comment on that since I have not played it and don't know much about it.odin2019
Download the Demo, it's 2D Mario meets Blinx Time powers (Or Prince of Persia)...My problem with it is I feel $10 is too much for some of these games (After a month I rarely go back, especially if I got 200GS in them), but I'm willing to stretch out and pay it. This game is $15, which irks me. I'd glady pay that though IF I could just spend $15, which I cannot.
