Braid is without a doubt the best 2D platformer this gen so far. Braid> Mario

I loved the mario game on the DS, but this game is amazing. The puzzles and the level design is so creative. I am just playing the trial demo and I can't get enough of it.

It is so charming. However this is clearly a mario clone with amazing twists to it. If your a fan of 2 D platformers and a fan of mario games I truly urge you to check this out on XBLA.

Damn them, damn them all! Just as I get into my PS3's arcade games they come and stuff a juicy carrot under my nose.

But the only 2D mario game was NSMB. It was not bad, but not really what I felt was up to the level of other 2D Marios. :P Guess I'll have to see what this game's about because I've heard lots of talk about it...

It looks and plays fantastic.

Reviews have been great so far too.

The pricing really sucks on it though, 1200mspoints.

there was no incentive for me to keep playing SMG. I didn't really like it. Also why would I play wii sport? ALso don't make a silly statement if you don't want to be labeled. I said I want a challenge along with it being fun. I haven't played NG2 yet, but from my understabnding some parts are fun and some aren't.

almost all puzzles are fun and challenging... thats where the 'puzzle' aspect comes in. portal was praised mainly because it was different (because of the portal gun) and injected some humor in the puzzle genre.

but seriously, if you wanted to play challenging games, why are you even on consoles?

if you really do like challenging games, why dont you play those hardcore flight sims, or that tank game where you need to buy that special controller that has like 50 buttons?

But Portal wasn't challenging.

I saw some of the screen captures on this site. I love the style. can you make your own boards?

The reason I ask is that they have a donkey kong board complete with gorilla and a 'your princess is in another castle' board. Is that parody or self creation?

Braid is absolutely brilliant. The creative stuff they have in this game is something average gamers couldn't possibly come up with if they had level editors in a platforming game. When I get an extra 200 ms points, I'll definitely download this master piece.
