...toilet paper?!?!? :? whose idea was that!!! :lol:cheapness1
you save by using the bathroom in the game...
Who knows how much advertising they did for this event, and when it was could affect people aswell.
Anywho, I wouldn't want them writing on my game box, but I would take some toilet paper.

yikes, the parties for the other ones musta been like a funeral then....
This is actually about 12 hour old news.wiretoss12 hours!!!???? WOOAAAHHH!!! Sorry for posting this ANCIENT news!
Honestly, would it hurt to step beyond RPG's and a game that doesn't have Mario in the title, even once in a while? Jeez...

Even 5-6 Hours is old by SW standards.
You'll live .The look on Suda's face is so sad. He's trying to keep a straight face presenting his product, but you can see he's pretty upset at the fact no body cares for his hard work. ironarab
ya thats the worst part. even if i dont know somebody, as long as i dont hate them, i hate to see them fail. unless them failing is small business and im ahead of them that is. but thats only for schoolwork.
Japan really is picky when it comes to games apparently. :?Honestly, would it hurt to step beyond RPG's and a game that doesn't have Mario in the title, even once in a while? Jeez...

Well, I guess western products just suck. Take Microsoft... They have never made a decent product, and yet they are among the richest companies on the earth.

1.This game isn't western. 2. Microsoft makes very nice products.[QUOTE="leejohnson7"][QUOTE="Blue-Sphere"]Japan really is picky when it comes to games apparently. :?Honestly, would it hurt to step beyond RPG's and a game that doesn't have Mario in the title, even once in a while? Jeez...

1. Point taken.
2. .... right.
This is sad. No, not for the game. The game is fine. I have high hopes for it still, and no, it's not a flop.
You shouldn't use the word flop in this site, when its referring to an event not performing as well as expected. A flop is when a review score is bad.
I just feel bad for those guys who had to set out there waiting for people to show up and buy the game. Someone should have researched that. I mean, they shoulda known, lol.
If it was me, however, I woulda been there to get my toilet paper and stand in line.
Why do japanese not have any respect for sandbox games, or Suda 51 games?
I hope this title sells well in japan in the long run, once word of mouth spreads.
I also hope it sells really well in the US, and sends a message to devs about the type of games to develop for the Wii.
I also hope the game doesn't suck.
It looks really good, but I just hope that its not all flash and no substance.
If it is great like I suspect, I really am upset with Japanese consumers for not supporting this particular game.
Japan is more civilized than the United States. They don't like murder simulators.Imbetterthany0uThis coming from a guy who probably lives in the US...

I think you meant to say Western Style. The game is a sandbox western style game like GTA.
This isn't a Wii problem, imo. This is a "gamers in japan" problem.
I don't know why they line up around the block for anything with a number behind it, but when you put Uncharted, or NMH, or any new game in front of them, they don't buy it.
Line up around the block for mario party, though, or Winning Eleven Whatever.

The GTA series was a huge hit in japan, though. I geuss it's the exception to the rule. Please Log In to post.
