I think you meant to say Western Style. The game is a sandbox western style game like GTA.

This isn't a Wii problem, imo. This is a "gamers in japan" problem.

I don't know why they line up around the block for anything with a number behind it, but when you put Uncharted, or NMH, or any new game in front of them, they don't buy it.

Line up around the block for mario party, though, or Winning Eleven Whatever.

Its the same reason I've gone off games nowadays. Because with a few exceptions, there are hundreds of shooters and I personally am bored of the macho bull**** that is constantly getting pumped out there. Its like some point after the year 2000 people stopped using their own heads to come up with original ideas. I am starting to see why games like spore, and stuff like that are awesome ideas, because games with guns (except a few) a generic trash, pointless, and a waste of money.

I gotta get my hands on that toilet paper.....

It has not flopped in any way yet. Flop:

1) When a game receives a score that didn't live up to its hype.

2) The game has only been out for like 5 days. You can't judge a sales flop in that time period.

When the game receives a bad score, as well as overall bad sales, THEN you can call it a flop.

Not only is this game nothing like the 3 you listed, but Metal Gear Solid has always appealed more and sold better in the West then in Japan.

The president grabbing your balls, running around naked while being attacked by ninjas, laughing octopus, psycho mantis, a chick that can block missles with her mind, a invincble vampire; I could go on. Also, your claim that GTA is popular in Japan, and that this is the exception to the rule. I require some proof, as I feel this information is not common knowledge. I contend that compared to most sucessful Japanese games, GTA flopped. Wheather it did good for an english game is irrelivant.

Obviously you guys have the insight and the brains to see its a very good game, but most Wii fans literally refuse to buy anything other than Nintendo made first party. Its pure economics. If this game does not sell well then devs will be less inclined to improve upon games like this. This could have been a huge franchise but it wont be because it wont get much support.

So sad to see this guys alone . Anyway lots of Wii fans are hyping this game like the ultimate hardcore game for the Wii. I think this game score will be a solid 8. Its not going to be AAA. Its funny to see wii fanboys hyping every game around and expecting to be 9 or 10 and when news get out that its 7 or 6 their excuse is " well i am not suprise" or " It never got hyped" like having amnesia that almost for 5 or 6 months they hype the game like it was GOTY stuff all around the forum.

To wii owners, its Ok to have big expectations for a game, but dont hype it, its better to wait to launch or to read the first real reviews to know if its ok,, or nice or very good. The problem with the Wii is that right now only a bunch of games are acceptable that goes to medium to high standars, the rest have become bad or just mediocre.

Wait to see the reviews from here in USA and from there you can make your own mind.

Thats my advice.

I am not a fanboy or cow or lemming, i do own a Xbox360 and PS3, why not the wii??? because there hasnt been any game right now that makes my mind go for one, galaxy looks nice but right now technology for xbox or ps3 is far superior than wii and after plaging bnoth of them yes i can say they are far superior.
