I agree Bungie is better than epic. They don't deliver on everything(god knows the campaign didn't). But Bungie's work is better IMO versus the work of -Lionhead -Turn 10 -Epic -Rare and who else makes games for Microsoft Game Studios?

Mistwalker makes some microsoft published games

Blue Dragon sucked at such a high level. Lost Odyssey was pretty good though, but I would take Bungie over Mistwalker anyday.

comparing the most recent games In Campaign- sure Gears of War 2 was better than Halo 3. I'll admit that. In terms of multiplayer- GOD NO In terms of content- OH GOD NO In terms of community- HELL NO, Bungie.net, forge, and the theatre actually add to the community of Halo 3 where as Gears of War 2 has.....well nothing Story- they both underdelivered, but atleast Halo has a rich lore and alot of subtle depth that doesn't get enough praise. Gears of War's storyline is an abomination. It's cheesy beyond words,(although yes the one liners are awesome). but hey atleast epic can make good graphics, lord knows they can't have good network coding for there games ;)

bungie is probably MS's best developer and i applaud them for trying something new i like when devs try their hand at something new cause then you get great new IP's like uncharted, infamous, or resistance

It was patched and now it is a lot of fun :( And sure, Halo 3 has a better community, but Gears 2's is big and good enough for keeping the things rollin'. And MP, I still prefer Gears 2's over Halo 3's. That gameplay fits it better.

the gameplay to Halo 3 entirly lends itself to a multiplayer environment :|. in fact what hurt the overall game was that it was too multiplayer focused. Gears of War on the other hand while works in single player very well is far too simplistic for its own good for a competitive mp environment. Certainly doesn't have the variety of gameplay elements that Uncharted brings along to its MP(the closest thing i can honestly compare to gears of war). I mean Halo hasn't exactly been the deepest shooter, but you want something more simple than Halo gears of war it is.

From how easy the sniper rifle is, how overpowered and unbalanced some of the weapons are, and just how easy it is to take advantage of the game design its not even close.

Halo 3s multiplayer is far more polished since day 1(except for the melee that needed some fine tuning), far more balanced. The only complaints are the maps were better in halo 2 and well some latency issues(issues that are still in gears 2 but hey who's keeping count ;)

atleast you guys got the better campaign....even if the boss fights did suck(somehow, someway Epic found a boss fight worse than the one bungie had in Halo 3, that takes some special skill).

Kinda everything pwns that :? :( I wouldn't complain that much if the last Act was as epic as the rest of the game, but all that Brumak-riging level was not that good, and, considering it's the last act, it was a let down :(

I actually liked them. But the controls could have been polished more.

Bought GOW2 on day one, and sold it 2 weeks later... The campaign was decent for it only being 5 hours long, but the multiplayer was pretty terrible. Bought Halo 3 on day one, and i still play it to this day!

i think Epic is much better rather than comparing Gears to Halo it would be a much more sensible choice to compare UT to Halo as both are FPS's.I prefer UT more especially 2004 to any games like Halo,KZ2,COD4 etc cause i jus find it a bundle of fun even though i havent played it in ages.

If epic could go back to making a game like UT2004 that was as much fun basically i would love a UE3 engine remake of that game as 3 always felt lacking in comparrasin.

Critics- in which case Bungie has had more critically acclaimed games over the course of there entire run. your opinion?- oh wait....thats your own personal opinion my opinion?- no once again that is my personal opinion. They really are better than Epic though. Forget whether you like halo 3 MP oir not, it's just so tremendously well done and exact. Gears 2 is a giant mess in comparison.

Epic owns Bungie. Srry but Epic atleast make more than one game. Unreal Tournament, Gears of War and Epic unreal engine have been popular since the stone age. What has bungie done, Halo sure it's an ok game but that's it one game.....

ones as bad as the other imho. they both rehash the same old same old time and time again. old epic (of the UT days) would rip bungie a new one. but todays epic....they have gone soft and boring and predictable. gears was nice...from what i hear gears 2 is the same game again and UE3 pales in comparison to UT2004 and UT1. when i had UT3 on my PC, i also had UT2004 and once the perty effects wore off (it didnt take long)...i found myself going back to UT2004. then i removed UT3 and never missed it. UT3 was a more useful benchmark tool than a game..but i had crysis which was an even better benchmark tool...and a dam fine game (well 2/3rds of it anyway :P). bungie these days are also just a one trick pony. did great work with halo1...and never took another leap after that. the marathon games were also very kewl mind.

So far Epic have done one great game this gen, Gears of War, they butchered Gears 2 and ****** up the Unreal Tournament series while DICE make them look bad with a multiplat parkour game making best use of their own engine. Bungie have made Halo 3. That's better than ruining 2 epic franchises in one gen.

Epic owns Bungie. Srry but Epic atleast make more than one game. Unreal Tournament, Gears of War and Epic unreal engine have been popular since the stone age. What has bungie done, Halo sure it's an ok game but that's it one game.....

Since Halo 3 is the finest most complete single game package this gen - Bungie > All.

Well at least until Forza 3 ships then it may be Turn 10 > All. :P
