Bungie's Next Game Is An MMO

"At a panel session at the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco today, Bungie lead network engineer David Aldridge confirmed to attendees that the developer's next title is a "massively multiplayer action game."

Yeah, I'm out. Way to many games come out and my playing time is so finite. I don't even stick with regular multiplayer like I used to, let alone have the dedication a MMO would need. Regardless of how good it is! I love Halo but if it's an MMO, color me careless.

Eh, could be cool. I'll wait and see.

I think I'm done with MMOs, but I'll keep my eye on this.

i feel bad for any company making mmo's now... that WoW train never stops

Its ironic when I see console gamers say no to mmo monthly fees.. But then are willing to shell out full retail sometimes for a game that lasts less than 15 hours.. When most mmos will give you at least 10 times that.sSubZerOo

No....no.no no no no. No more MMORPG's for me. I have been playing Maplestory for 3 years and in the end I got to lvl 120 and told myself...whats the point. Whats the point of lvling up. :P So I told myself that I just waisted 3 years of my life on a MMORPG and got nothing out of it.... Srry Bungie Im out on this one.

It wasn't directed toward you just console gamers in general..

Never really been intrested in MMO's but I'll keep an eye on this one.

MMO's stole my life for a couple of years. I'm addicted to them: I just did a trial for WoW and clocked ten hours straight. Deleted it, went back to normal games. As Blow best described, WoW (and MMO's in general) are unethical and exploit players on a reward-for-suffering scheme. Couldn't agree more with him.

As far as the topic goes, I don't want Bungie making MMOs. They should try something in the stealth-shooter genre, since this generation is severely lacking in stealth games that I liked.

All Bungie needs to do is follow what SE did with FFXIV and they'll do fine.

I doubt Microsoft would allow that. There is Shadowrun and the beam of hope it gives us on cross-platform gaming, but I sincerely doubt it'll happen.

Bungie doing a platformer or some kind of fighting game? Hell no. They know shooters, it will be a MMOFPS.

Flyff was actually fun , but I was such an addict to that game my parents made me stop for a while but in the end I stopped over all :P
