Buyers Remorse Game Edition

Have you ever got a game and then regreted it?

Basic Edition or a crazy Collectors Edition , or just a digital game on Steam for $2?

For me it was Fear 3 when it came out.

I started playing and in 1 hour i just didn't want to look at the game anymore and asked myself:Why did i buy it?

The game was ok and it was fun to play with a friend but i still regret buying it.

What say you?

Oh, yeah. A lot of times. I felt that way with MGS3. Not saying it was a bad game. I know a lot of people loved it. Just wasn't my cup of tea.

NO more Heroes was awful. ZombiU i suppose, played it for short while and got bored... may go back ONE day.

Watch dogs. I played for maybe 2 hours and I gave up.

Red Dead Redemption,the only game I ever sold back.

X rebirth really pissed me the **** off as that game wasn't even playable or even finished by any means. Other then that Final fantasy 7 and 8 on steam. Those remasters where so bad that they use midi music instead of the original music. If I had known that I would have never purchased those pathetic attempts at a remaster.

Spore, Demon's Souls, Assassin's Creed 4, Final Fantasy X, Final Fantasy 13, and Killzone come to mind.

Buying Advanced Warfare on PS3, it's a pretty bad port.

Buying CoD in general is a bad move.

Oh man, I'd have to say Brink. I bought into the hype, and the gameplay looked like something fun and different at the time. I didn't research the Developer until after purchasing the game and realizing how bare bones and repetitive it was. Little did I know, the lead dev had a track record with a little game called Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing.

Destiny and Watch Dogs...... oh and COD AW.

Spore - was hyped like a second coming. When I bought it I realized it was actually incredibly shallow gameplay experience :-(

From recent memory: Starbound.

Saw it got overwhelmingly good reviews. Tried to get into it, but I just couldn't. Not my kind of game.

MadWorld.

Its very rare for me. The one case I can truly say I have buyers remorse was sonic unleashed. I enjoyed the day missions,but then I found out those are rare and I would be seeing alot werehog. I couldint get through the dam thing.

COD Ghosts. The worst COD game ever.

I have a lot of purchasing regrets lol. Most recently its Arkham Knight, the most disappointing game this year.

Tomb Raider 2013. What an awful f*cking game that was. Wasn't a fan of the series, bought it because everyone was saying its amazing and it received great reviews. What a mistake, that thing was abysmal.

i rage quitted so many times in that game that i just got fed up with it and sold it the following day. i play games for fun, i dont play games to be constantly frustrated.

@skelly34: Did you play Asylum after any of the other Batman games? I thought it was really fun around when it first came out. Got it for $20 and then passed it on to a friend.

Last compulsive buy I regret was Quantum Rush, I thought it was a proper sequel to the older Quantum Redshift game which was an original Xbox exclusive made by the people behind WipeOut, though the game bombed commercially I really loved it, so imagine my surprise when I saw this, but it wasn't a proper sequel, it was a fan-made spiritual successor. And what a horrible tribute that game was. First off, the game runs like shit, horrible optimization, maybe one of the laziest ports I've ever seen. Now, normally if I just get a bad game I'd stomach it, but I feel duped, duped in the very same way that could be covered by laws regarding trademark infringement. Not that I'm expecting them to refund me, but on principle and out of curiosity I'm willing to try to see if I can get a refund out of arguing some form of trademark infringement from the consumer level.

EDIT: well, I called MS for a refund, it worked, not sure if my reasoning were the reason they seemed just as willing to give me a refund just because I asked.

Recently, Arkham Knight PC version pre-order, never again.
