Pretty good trailer if you ask me.
-Singleplayer is back
-New engine
-No season pass
-Crossplay between consoles and PC ... ok wut?
I saw Paris.
This is a reboot of the trilogy. Hope the Chernobyl level is good.
That was London
"Call of Duty: Please come back- look we're being a little more consumer friendly now"
Single player is back, new engine after 13 years finally?
It’s like they took the only thing everyone loved in the MWR (it’s single player) and gave IW a massive budget and told them to do the same with MW2. Looks dope, no Season Pass and Cross-Play with all platforms is even better. Captain Price voice is change, for better or worst. I'll play it for the campaign and I did enjoy Black Ops 4 more then BFV.

Singleplayer is back!
I take it you're going back to CoD?

Though a lot of locations did look similar to the original MW, I think they are going for an entirely new setting.

I never left, haha. Last COD game I played was COD: WWII.
To be honest though, I've been disappointed in more COD games than I've actually enjoyed. But I feel that if given the right amount of resources and time, the developers are capable of making good games.
This having no season pass is great news. I also saw no preorder announcement or special version, so I take it the Modern Warfare 2 remaster is out?
@R4gn4r0k: At least Activision isn't as bad as EA, I'll trust them with this new Modern Warfare and like what I'm seeing so far.
I don't know if I can agree with that, the last Call of Duty game had:
At the end of the day all these companies just want our money, and then some more when we are actually playing the game.

How is Raven software doing BTW ? Are they still making multiplayer components of COD games ?
I liked them for making Jedi Knight 2 and Jedi Academy.(Lightsaber Vs Lightsaber is so great)
looks pretty.
my problem is that CoD games have become so bland to play. the gunplay and weapon mechanics are really dull and there isn't much else to the experience beyond shooting.
can't say i'm excited for this. we'll see how the actual gameplay looks.
call of duty modern warfare remastered reboot 2019
next will be call of duty modern warfare 2 2020
Actually, its going to black Ops 5 for 2020. Activision has said so.
I'm interested. I haven't played a CoD in a long time. I'm more in it for the SP aspects anyway.
They're also not re-treading the MW trilogy, instead just going back and using the moniker.
every year people get excited for COD. then game release and everyone hated COD and wait till treyarch game announced
its all COD WW2 all over again as people were excited to go back to WW2 and "old school".

Okay? I definitely don't get excited every year. Like I said, I haven't played a CoD in forever.

There is some genuine stuff to be excited about. A lot of 'firsts' for the series.
Plus COD WWII looked genuinly good and authentic from the trailers.

I appreciated Sledgehammer's efforts when they attempted to dosomething new with War mode in COD: WWII. It was a mode made in response to Operations from Battlefield 1 but in return I think it helped influence the fortification mechnic from BF V.
The regular modes in COD with your small maps, your custom classes and your killstreaks did get rather boring really fast for me. It hasn't really changed much from 2003 and most of the things it did change, were for the worst imho :/

and it turn out to be real bad.
this game SP will be just scripted, cinematic, full of QTE that even made MW2 feel like Half life.
anyways, i would take this over battlefield or whatever DICE is doing today anyday.

It was OK.
It wasn't awful, it wasn't an insult to play, but it wasn't brilliant or standout either.
The original WW2 games, up until World at War, are just better and every one of them is standout and unique.
@that_old_guy: They have been using IW engine since 2005 or so.
no such thing as IW engine.
they have been using quake 3 engine for nearly decade.

That's not true.
Link 1.
Link 2.
back in 2007. these engine are called heavily modified id tech 3. its only after MW2 they change the name and named it to IW engine.
and since then they are only modifying it.

It was initially based on the Quake engine. You were right with regards to the Quake engine being used... You weren't right otherwise.
@fedor: so are they not using the IW engine at all and another one completeltly, or do they mean they just updated the hell out of it so it’s basically a new engine?
Not the return of single-player that got me interested, but the supposed shift towards more realism.
Milsim-lite gameplay has been in vogue lately with your Siege's and PUBG's and Insurgencies, guess that's the trend COD is picking up this year.
Will have to wait and see how well the series wears it.
Dedicated servers?
I think we're past asking this question. Dedis has been the norm for the brand even on consoles for the last 2-3 installments.
I guess I’m also down as the game looks to be something refreshing yet familiar.
But as with every COD since forever ago I’ll have to wait and see what it has to offer. I never have bought it blindly like so many do.
will there be boots on the ground?
Each time they try something to shake up the multipalyer, but I'm just hoping that it stays pretty close to the classic formula and doesn't throw in a bunch of crazy or irritating stuff just for the sake of having it.
