Some people care and some don't. But that reviewer certainly saw a difference in the framerates. And so did IGN. IGN gave the game a equal score, while the other guy felt the framerate issues was worth s bump for the PS4 version.'m sure there will be a reviewer out there who scores the PS4 version higher. Cows don't have to pout for to long.

Yeah it will, but I'll bet dollars to doughnuts that MLG goes with the higher framerate version for competitions. Not saying resolution doesn't matter... just saying competitive gamers prefer framerate over resolution.

@donalbane: Who says resolution has anything to do with this framerate drop? Battlefield 4 has 1080P with a stable 60fps on the ps4, while the xbox one version has crap frame rate and low resolution.

That was my main issue with Polygon. Rather than change their review 3 times, they should have just waited til the game was out and available, then review it in the actual condition that the consumer would be using it.

The biggest variations between platforms falls upon visuals and player counts. On the current-gen versions Ghosts looks nearly identical, though I did encounter occasional framerate issues during the single-player campaign on PS3 and PS4, whereas my time with the Xbox One version was stable throughout.

@Twilight_King: ps4 doesnt run bf4 in 1080p, but 900p/720p x1 and both run in 60fps.. Stop misinforming yourself.. facepalm

Yeah I know...I just dont like how they did it, and not only that, they had to change the score 3 times...you would think after the first time, they would wait and see. Also on the COD Ghosts PS4 review, love how they have a review update...like these discrepancies randomly popped up out of thing air. I would hope that before writing a review for a game, you would have actually played it. This isnt like some game breaking bug that only appears 20 hrs into the game under certain conditions...frame rate drops are sure to be the thing you notice immediately, so Im not quite sure why they had to mention it in an update. No, im not saying this is some conspiracy to make the PS4 look bad, Im merely remarking at Polygon's piss poor ability to review games. Those framerate issues may very well be present in the PS4 game, thats not the issue, the issue is that they didnt catch something so obvious the first time around.

For starters, BF4 has 900p on PS4. This is common knowledge.

And regarding your statement, resolution and framerate are both interrelated...the OP mentioned that the resolution on the PS4 was better for Ghosts, but that is probably why the framerate is superior on Xbox. Makes perfect sense. Not a PC gamer, I take it.

I really don't think this argument should be over Xone vs Play4. I think the question between mature gamers should be; is CoD really worth the annual dollars fans exchange for a gaming experience that has evolved little since the time it first awed and inspired? CoD is a great series, you cannot argue that successfully, but it suffers from the Madden syndrome. I am a huge NFL fan plus I am a 80's ground up gamer, so with my pedigree I should love Madden. That's not the case. I wont buy another Madden game because, the mature gamer in me can no longer validate a $60 a year duty fee, just to update my roster. Especially in this day of DLC's and their potential for sports gamers--catch my drift? CoD suffers from the same "Once great and innovative" to "been there, done that" So to my original point; the question is what game is going to evolve the FPS genre and associated multi-player to the next gamers brief utopia?

So, it boils down to this: Do you want the one with the higher resolution, but has a higher instance of frame-rate drop; or, do you want the version that has lower resolution, but less frame rate drops.
