Are you SURE Fable 2 is nothing like Far Cry 2 and Crysis ? I see a HOST of the main things that make those games amazing, fully implemented in Fable 2, all shown in the latest forest pic, posted a few days back !!!!

It is the closest to Crysis, has the most detail with all those features, and the MAIN features that make Crysis look that more next gen ARE THERE as i write them above

A games graphics cant be compared to another game,except on a technical level,Fable is technically very impressive,but then again so was Halo3 and that looks crap.

Ah, somebody gets it. Did Okami have "better" graphics than Halo 2? No. And yet everyone absolutely raved about how it looked. The truth is, it's easy to push out technically solid graphics, but good art direction is much more rare. Fable 2 looks really impressive so far, because it has an extremely distinct style to it.

It's about art direction and style. You don't see much cartoon racing sims for a reason. He did't say it couldn't be compared, but he stated that it's weird, and it is.

but the point stands the graphics in Fable are not good on a technicall level because very few WRPG´s actually try that, graphics is not an important feature on the RPG genre, so devs only give the amount necessary for it to look relitevly good, just look, an FPS however HAS to look good, it has to have the best graphics its just part of the FPS genre, that is a fact not an opinion

It's funny how fanboyism works, isn't it? Anyway, I actually think that artistically, Fable 2 looks great, and Peter said that they are still not finished with the graphics. Screenshots definitely do not do this game any justice. You need to watch the videos.

but the point stands the graphics in Fable are not good on a technicall level because very few WRPG´s actually try that, graphics is not an important feature on the RPG genre, so devs only give the amount necessary for it to look relitevly good, just look, an FPS however HAS to look good, it has to have the best graphics its just part of the FPS genre, that is a fact not an opinion

Team fortress isnt a realistic shooter and isnt the most impressive shooter but it doesnt fail. Why are you saying FPS have to look good like its a fact? Who cares if graphics in RPGs arent the focus? Are you telling me there is no way fable 2 couldnt look better? You cannot say graphics in games cannot be compared just because theyre not the focus in one of them. By comparing were just saying that game A looks better than game B. How hard is it to understand? One time you say they cant be compared and some times you say they shouldnt. Theres a big difference. And thats why its hard to argue with you because you say different things everytime.

in case you didnt notice i already said that fable 2 doesnt look that good look at my posting history if you must, the fact remains that the games are not comparible, and not only that you have already insulted me either directly or trough snide comments, something which clearly shows your level of maturity

games are created on a strict budget and time limit, the graphics could be better yes, but then you would have to sacrifice something instead, and a game like this doesnt really need more than medium graphics, a way to hide this is by creating cartoony graphics like they are doing now

Fable is an amazing looking game with a great deal of style, but its hardly as good as many of the people here are making it out to be. You would think fable fans [I myself am one] would realize this hype is working against them.Vandalvideo
