Travis Touchdown isn't going to do anything against Dante

Ryu Hayabusa wouldn't win as well as we've seen that swords really don't do much against Dante (cutscenes) Dante just has more arsenal and power then Ryu as well.

Kratos just doesn't even have the speed to compete here. God or Immortal doesn't mean you cannot be defeated.

Sephiroth, hell compare the cutscenes in DMC to Avent Children. Dante is a straight beast man.

The thing is, the disparity between Dante's fortitude in-game and in cutscenes makes a huge difference here, and the differences in strength between the two aren't really reconicleable.

In cutscenes, Dante can take swords through the chest without flinching. In game, if Dante gets hit with swords very much, he's going to die.

I personally feel that Ryu Hayabusa matches up pretty well against Dante. What he lacks in pure strength, he makes up for in skill. He's defeated many foes who are technically more powerful than he is, many of which could probably match up well against Dante.

But if we're talking about cutscene-Dante, who cannot be harmed, then the only people who can defeat him are in a completely different tier of uber-powerful characters, such as Alucard from Hellsing (basically Dante, but better), or Goku.

My vote goes for Samus, she is a pretty bad ass too, her equipment would be pretty hard to defeat to anyone, even Dante.

But lets be honest, Dante wouldnt have a chance against Gordon Freeman and his almighty crow bar.:P

Except Ryu fights more skillful enemies than Dante does. Dante can overwhelm them with sheer brute force, but Ryu is very, very good at avoiding being hit. Plus, he can block easily, while Dante can only block in one of his stances under very specific circumstances.

I'm sure you're aware that it's not a matter of who can take the most hits. And Ryu is just as fast as Dante is, easily (why do people think Dante is so fast? He really isn't particularly speedy), and he's incredibly skilled. The final boss of Ninja Gaiden 1 is very similar to Dante in a number of ways, and Ryu triumphed in that encounter. It's very possible for Ryu to win.

I don't know if its the case that the Chozo Ghost who are all religious and and spirtual are entitled to the term magic. But they do use a sort of spiritual energy to attack Samus. I don't know if spiritual energy equates to magic though.

I'd say, judging just by the games, Ryu and Kratos have a very good chance of winning.

Dante is awesome in the cut scenes and all, and he does beat somne pretty huge bosses, but so do the rest.

Kratos is a monster ...

I think Dante could win against Kratos. Let's think logically. I know that Kratos is half god, but If Ares the god of war is able to be killed that mean Kratos can also be killed. So now that we know a god is killable, Dante wins hands down. He is so much faster than Kratos. EDIT- Dante can win against any of the characters mentioned so far in ths thread.dark-warmachine
